YouTube personality and boxer Jake Paul is about to compete in his “biggest fight yet,” according to his Instagram story on Monday, May 31, 2021. And as per a recent report, it will be against a former UFC champ.
Paul last boxed in April when he defeated former ONE and Bellator welterweight champion Ben Askren via first-round TKO during their Triller Fight Club main event.
He is 3-0 as a licensed professional and on Tuesday, he will announce his next opponent. “Fight announcement tomorrow morning,” Paul wrote on Instagram.
“This will be the biggest fight yet x 5,” he continued.
“This will be the hardest fight I’ve had. The toughest opponent by far. The most known opponent. We will break another boxing PPV record.”
Paul has challenged and been challenged by several big MMA names, including UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman and former UFC 170-pound champion Tyron Woodley.

According to boxing insider Mike Coppinger, Paul’s opponent will be Woodley. He tweeted, “Sources: Jake Paul and former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley have agreed to a deal for a boxing match. Jake recently signed a multi-fight deal with Showtime. Friday face-off in Miami planned to promote the event. Paul coming off first-round KO of Ben Askren.”
“The Problem Child” recently announced that he has signed a multi-fight deal with Showtime Boxing.
Update: Paul confirmed on Tuesday that he is boxing Woodley on August 28 via Showtime Boxing.

Woodley Is a Sturdy Test for Paul
If Woodley does in fact end up being The Problem Child’s opponent, it will likely be a tough night out for the YouTuber.
Woodley is undoubtedly the toughest test Paul has faced thus far. A former UFC welterweight champ, Woodley is known for his vicious power, knocking out the likes of former 170-pound champion Robbie Lawler and The Ultimate Fighter season one star Josh Koscheck. With a professional MMA record of 19-7-1, “The Chosen One” has seven wins by way of KO/TKO, as well as five by submission and seven by decision.
He won the belt when he knocked out Lawler in 2016. Woodley went on to defend it against Stephen Thompson, Demian Maia and Darren Till. He lost the belt in 2019 to Usman and has since dropped his last three fights.
The Chosen One is 39 years old and was recently cut by the UFC after suffering four losses in a row.

Paul Is Undefeated in All 4 of His Boxing Matches
The Problem Child has not lost inside the boxing ring. He competed in an amateur bout against Deji in 2018 and won by TKO. Then Paul got a professional license and rattled off two victories in 2019, defeating AnEsonGib by TKO and Nate Robinson by KO.
Earlier this year, Paul took out Askren, who is friends and training partners with Woodley. Woodley worked Askren’s corner during his boxing match with Paul in April.
