Getty Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys will take on the Seattle Seahawks
Dak Prescott leads the NFC East-leading Dallas Cowboys (8-5) into Lucas Oil Stadium to take on Andrew Luck and the Indianapolis Colts (7-6) as Week 15 action continues on Sunday afternoon.
The game is scheduled to start at 1 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on Fox in select areas (coverage map here). With a win, the Cowboys can all but clinch the NFC East for the second time in three seasons. The Washington Redskins and Philadelphia Eagles would need to win out in order to catch Dallas.
Last week, Dak Prescott finished with 455 passing yards in a chaotic 29-23 overtime home win against the Philadelphia Eagles. Prescott’s improves production, despite two almost costly interceptions last week, is primarily due to Amari Cooper. Cooper leads the NFL I’m receiving yards and has hauled in 40 receptions since the trade.
Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett understands the team still needs to be focused on the short term, which is wrapping up the East first. He told reporters this week:
“That’s the starting point, I think, for any team in this league — to try and win their division. We’ve put ourselves in a position to do that. But you’re exactly right. The approach won’t change, the focus won’t change.”
The Colts topped the Houston Texans last week to stay alive in the AFC wild card race. They are currently tied with the Baltimore Ravens for the No. 6 seed, but are sitting out of a playoff spot due to tiebreakers.
T.Y. Hilton will be a game-time decision with an ankle injury. If Hilton cannot okay, that severely limits the upside of what Luck will be able to do against a Cowboys defense that has stopped players like Drew Brees in their tracks this season.
