In 2020, Steelers games will be televised on CBS (9 games), Fox (3 games), NBC (2 games) or ESPN (2 games). The full schedule can be found below.

Things went awry in a hurry for the Steelers a season ago, with quarterback Ben Roethlisberger going down with a season-ending elbow injury in Week 2.

“I felt a different pain, a different discomfort than I had ever felt,” said Roethlisberger, who had surgery to repair the issue. “It was kind of shooting down my arm. I knew something was different at that moment.”

With the veteran signal-caller sidelined, the Steelers offense struggled mightily, relying on Mason Rudolph and undrafted free agent Devlin “Duck” Hodges to run the offense. The team still managed to finish 8-8 thanks to a stingy defense that was among the best units in the league.

A game changer for the Steelers was the surprising acquisition of safety Minkah Fitzpatrick via trade. Fitzpatrick quickly became a leader for the Steelers and is bullish on what they can do this season.

“I think we’re going to look even better,” Fitzpatrick said. “We kept most of our defense from last year. And we have a lot of young guys that are going to help us from the back. We are going to have a short camp which will be tough, but we have a lot of older guys, a lot of vets who can help us. I think we will be an even better defense than we were last year.”

While the defense appears set, questions remain around the offense, mostly due to injury concerns. Roethlisberger is 38 and coming off surgery, while offensive stars James Conner and JuJu Smith-Schuster struggled with their own injuries. Conner missed six games a year ago, while Smith-Schuster was sidelined for four.

Conner rushed for just 464 yards and 4 touchdowns a year ago, but the team’s confidence in the fourth-year back is not shaken.

“You have a Pro Bowl-type of running back as a starter that, when healthy, is as good as any in the league,” Steelers running backs coach Eddie Faulkner said. “You have a bunch of guys that skill sets fit what we look for, whether that is Jaylen Samuels and his versatility. Whether that is Anthony McFarland and his change of direction and burst. And, obviously, Benny Snell came in and did some good things for us his first year and [has] only gotten better. I just look around the room and see a lot of talented guys who can help us.”
