Butler is feared to have sustained an MCL injury in his right knee, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports. Butler finished out Wednesday's Play-In Tournament game against the 76ers despite sporting a limp in his right leg. While he was reported to be undergoing an MRI on Thursday, Butler's injury could be more serious than initially expected. If it ends up being an MCL injury, it's highly unlikely that Butler will be able to play in Friday's Play-In elimination game. In that scenario, Jaime Jaquez, Haywood Highsmith and Caleb Martin would likely see more minutes.

Jimmy Butler : Dealing with possible MCL injury
Jimmy Butler : Undergoing MRI on knee
Butler will have an MRI on Thursday after sustaining a right knee injury during Wednesday's 105-104 Play-In Tournament loss to the 76ers, Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald reports. He played 40 minutes and generated 19 points (5-18 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 7-8 FT), five assists, four rebounds and five steals. Butler appeared to tweak his knee late in the first quarter after being fouled but remained in the game at less than 100 percent, sporting a noticeable limp at times. Butler was seen wearing a protective knee sleeve post-game and will have more testing done Thursday. The Heat will play in a win-or-go-home matchup Friday night, giving Butler very little time to heal. We should know more about the severity of the injury once the MRI results come back.
Duncan Robinson : Coming off bench Wednesday
Robinson isn't in the starting lineup for Wednesday's Play-In Tournament game versus the 76ers, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. Despite starting in his last 17 outings, Robinson will come off the bench against Philadelphia after missing Miami's previous four contests with a back injury. Robinson is averaging 9.8 points, 1.3 assists and 1.2 rebounds in 21.4 minutes across his last 10 appearances coming off the bench.
Duncan Robinson : Good to go against Philadelphia
Robinson (back) is available for Wednesday's Play-In Tournament game versus the 76ers. Robinson will return to action Wednesday after missing Miami's last four contests to end the regular season while dealing with left facet syndrome. Robinson is averaging 10.0 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 26.7 minutes across his last 10 appearances, and he won't have a minutes restriction versus Philadelphia, per Adam Aaronson of PhillyVoice.com. While the 29-year-old won't be on a minutes restriction, it is unclear if he will enter the Heat's starting lineup.
Kevin Love : Cleared for Wednesday
Love (arm) will be available Wednesday versus Philadelphia, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. Love will join Caleb Martin and an otherwise inexperienced cast of forwards in Nikola Jovic, Haywood Highsmith and Jaime Jaquez for Miami's postseason rotation Wednesday. Love averaged 6.9 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 18.0 minutes across 20 games in the 2023 playoffs.
Duncan Robinson : On track to return Wednesday
Robinson (back) is probable for Wednesday's Play-In Game versus Philadelphia, Adam Aaronson of PhillyVoice.com reports. Robinson appears to be on the mend, and he profiles as a swing factor in Miami's rotation due to Terry Rozier (neck) being officially ruled out for Wednesday's postseason affair. Robinson has not taken the court since April 7 due to an ongoing battle with facet syndrome.
Terry Rozier : Won’t play Wednesday
Rozier (neck) has been ruled out for Wednesday's Play-In Game against the 76ers, Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald reports. Rozier missed the final four games of the regular season due to neck spasms and will remain sidelined for the beginning of postseason play. Caleb Martin has been starting at shooting guard recently, but Duncan Robinson (back) is expected to be available following a four-game absence of his own, so it's unclear who'll share the backcourt with Tyler Herro.
Kevin Love : Logs limited practice
Love (arm) was a partial practice participant Tuesday in advance of Wednesday's game against Philadelphia. Love's status for Wednesday's Play-In Tournament battle remains up in the air. It isn't a win-or-go-home scenario for Miami, who would play the winner of Chicago and Atlanta if Philadelphia prevails Wednesday, but Love's ability to rebound and space the frontcourt would be a notable loss if he's ultimately unavailable. Love is dealing with a contusion to his upper arm.
