Amazon Now Lets You Download MP3s from CDs You Purchased from Them

If you’ve ever bought an album from Amazon, you can now receive a free MP3 version thanks to Amazon’s newly launched “Auto Rip.” Even if the album was purchased back in 1998, that same album will be available to you on AutoRip, Amazon will automatically update it to your Cloud Player account.

Amazon’s AutoRip service currently features over 50,000 songs. Amazon does plan to add more albums to its service. According to TNW, this service is only available in the U.S. and District Columbia.

AutoRip’s application is available on Roku, Samsung TVs, Kindle Fire tablets and iOS and Android devices.
