This drastically reduces the cost of both phones allowing customers to purchase the iPhone 5s at $99 and letting eager Apple fans acquire the iPhone 5c completely free. For the fancier and more expensive iPhone 5s, customers can obtain at the same price of the iPhone 5c.
Sprint’s promotion is clearly designed to attract more customers since it ranks third behind Verizon and AT&T. This deal is valid for Sprint’s other selection of smartphones as well. With Walmart announcing last week that they would be cutting minute sums of money from the price ($10 for 5s, $20 for the 5c), Sprint presents the most aggressive and cost-friendly offer. The 5c received some criticism for not being the “budget” phone it was predicted to be and Sprint has possibly capitalized on a way to help sell the 5c.
