A new Siri hack, created by Penn State students that competed in the University’s hackathon event called PennApp challenge, allows Siri to access Spotify, Instagram and other third-party apps. Here’s how to set it up in 5 easy steps:
1. Open Up Safari

In your web browser, go to http://www.betterthansiri.com. Swipe left and you have a full tutorial on how to setup the hack. It takes less than 20 seconds.
2. Open Up Your WiFi Settings

Go to your settings app and click into your Wifi. You must be connected to a wifi source in order for the hack to work, so choose your WiFi network and click on the “i” icon to the right of the network name.
3. Type in the HTTP Proxy

Scroll to the very botoom of the page and below the text “HTTP PROXY” change it from “Off” to “Auto.” Then tap on the URL and type in: http://totally.betterthansiri.com.
Now whenever you are connected to that network and want to use Siri, refer to her as “GoogolPlex.” For example: “GoogolPlex, take a selfie and put it on Instagram.” Or, “Googolplex, play #Selfie by The Chainsmokers in Spotify.”
