The iPhone 6 is mere months away from launch, and some interesting details have begun to leak. Here is what you need to know about the iPhone 6’s rumored features.

1. The iPhone 6 Will Come in Multiple Sizes

PC Mag reports that the iPhone 6 will come in two different sizes. The first will be a “normal”-sized iPhone with a 4.7-inch screen. The second version of the iPhone 6 will be a phablet device with a larger, 5.5-inch screen. The larger iPhone 6 may come to market after the smaller screened version has debuted, due to “production issues.”

2. The iPhone 6 Will Have a Sapphire Glass Screen

In the video above, YouTuber Marques Brownlee tries his hardest to put a scratch on what is believed to be an iPhone 6 screen. If this video can be believed, than the iPhone 6 will have an impressively durable screen. VentureBeat has the rundown on the iPhone 6’s specific use of sapphire:

“In this video, Brownlee attacks the panel with garnet and emery sandpaper — both coated with extremely hard minerals.

Based on his tests, Brownlee shows that the iPhone 6 screen he’s testing is not made of pure sapphire, because it gets scratched by garnet sandpaper — and, according to the Mohs Scale of mineral hardness, garnet is softer than sapphire. In fact, he uncovers an Apple patent that refers to a technique for modifying pure sapphire so it’s more resistant to chipping, which would explain the high flexibility of the screen.”

3. The iPhone 6 Will Light Up to Alert You to Notifications

The iPhone 6 concept video above features LED notifications, among other functions.

PC Mag has the scoop on a cool feature that’s rumored to be featured on the iPhone 6. According to the report, the Apple logo on the back of the iPhone 6 will light up, alerting you to push notifications and messages.

This could be a cool feature, and the light-up logo might be less jarring than the current method for light-up notifications on the iPhone (which you can enable by going to Settings > General > Accessibility, and switching on “LED Flash for Alerts.”) If this rumor pans out, it seems likely that Apple will produce official iPhone 6 cases that have a cutout on the rear to highlight this feature.

4. iOS 8 Will Bring Cool New Features to the iPhone 6

The video above from CNET highlights some of the best new features in iOS 8.

The Telegraph notes that iOS 8 will have a lot of new features, and these features will enhance the basic specs of the iPhone 6. Some of the hotly anticipated new features include the HealthKit framework, which will aggregate your fitness data from across multiple apps. Other nice iOS 8 features include “Continuity,” which will let you work on documents or messages seamlessly across platforms.

5. The iPhone 6 Will Have Improved Battery Life

Check out the video above to get some tips of improving the battery life on your iOS device.

MacRumors has a great rundown of all the iPhone 6 rumors and leaks up to this point. One of the most interesting rumors is about the iPhone 6’s increased battery life. MacRumors writes that the iPhone 6 will have a 1,810 mAh battery.

This is a bit of a step up from the iPhone 5S, which has a battery capacity of 1,560 mAh. A battery that’s 20 percent bigger is definitely appealing to consumers. The Motley Fool cites a recent survey that found 97% of respondents would be interested in buying an iPhone 6 if it could provide improved battery life.
