1. A Thousand Years Pt. 2 by Christina Perri ft. Steve Kazee

The original song “A Thousand Years” by Christina Perri was featured on The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 1: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack and released in 2011. This second version was later released on The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 2: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack. Christina Perri released her debut single “Jar of Hearts” and it reached its peak after it was featured on So You Think You Can Dance in 2010. Her most recent album was released on 2014 and it was titled “Head or Heart.”

2. I’ll Make Love To You by Boyz II Men

“I’ll Make Love To You” is a classic Boyz II Men song and currently, the group has a residency in Las Vegas, Nevada at The Mirage Hotel. Three out of the four original members of the group remain – Nathan Morris, Shawn Stockman, and Wanya Morris. Previous group members include Marc Nelson and Michael McCary. In 2016, group member Wanya Morris participated on Dancing With the Stars with pro partner Lindsay Arnold. They made it to the semifinals together.

The beginnings of Boyz II Men was recently featured on the BET movie about the music group New Edition.

3. How Will I Know performed by Sam Smith

Sam Smith’s soothing voice is always a win for romance. His slowed-down rendition of “How Will I Know” by Whitney Houston is truly beautiful. According to Rolling Stone, Smith’s cover of Houston’s song was fully recorded for SiriusXM and was also featured on an episode of Grey’s Anatomy. When talking about his cover of the song to Rolling Stone, Smith explained:

A Whitney Houston song that makes me happy – it’s a feel-good song. I love the juxtaposition of a melancholy lyric with an upbeat sound. People forget that’s how she rose to fame. The more mature Whitney, like ‘I Will Always Love You,’ came later.

Houston passed away on February 11, 2012.

4. Lost Stars by Adam Levine

“Lost Stars” was a nominee for Best Song at the 2015 Oscars and the song is from the movie Begin Again, which starred Keira Knightley, Adam Levine, Mark Ruffalo and James Corden. This was Levine’s first movie role and Radio.com reports that the writers of the song were Gregg Alexander, Danielle Brisebois, Nick Lashley, and Nick Southwood. “Lost Stars” was nominated against songs including “Everything is Awesome,” from The Lego Movie, “Glory” from Selma, “Grateful,” from Beyond the Lights and “I’m Not Gonna Miss You,” from Glen Campbell: I’ll Be Me. The winner was “Glory.”

5. Thinking Out Loud by Ed Sheeran

Ed Sheeran released “Thinking Out Loud” off his album “X” in 2014. Sheeran won several awards for this song, including a Grammy Award for Song of the Year, Grammy Award for Best Pop Solo Performance, MuchMusic Video Award for Most Buzzworthy International Artist or Group, MuchMusic Video Award for iHeartRadio International Artist of the Year, and a Teen Choice Award for Choice Single: Male Artist.

6. Love Me Now by John Legend

John Legend has had great success in recent years and currently, he has released a duet of “Beauty and the Beast” with Ariana Grande from the upcoming motion picture. He has also had a lot of his success for his contributions to the Oscar-nominated movie “La La Land,” starring Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone. CMT recently announced that Bentley is returning to host the ACM Awards once again with co-host Luke Bryan. This will be the duo’s second time hosting the event together as previously, Bryan hosted it with Blake Shelton. Shelton is currently gearing up for the next season of The Voice, which starts later this month.

Zayn Malik and Taylor Swift recently released the music video for their duet “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever.” The song is also featured in the new movie Fifty Shades Darker. The movie is the sequel to Fifty Shades of Grey, which stars Dakota Johnson as Anastasia Steele and Jamie Dornan as Christian Grey. Malik is currently dating model girlfriend Gigi Hadid, the daughter of former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Yolanda Hadid. Recently, Gigi Hadid appeared on Ellen DeGeneres’ talk show and she dished on her first date with Malik, saying:

Jason Derulo’s song “Marry Me” is a great option for today, especially if you’re celebrating marriage or plan on popping the question. The song was released by Derulo in 2013 off his album “Tattoos”. The R&B hit was nominated for World Music Award for World’s Best Video and World Music Award for World’s Best Song after it came out.

On the Grammys red carpet, Derulo dished about a collaboration with Nick Minaj and Ty Dolla $ign, called “Swalla”. Derulo told Billboard:

I never believe in forcing a collaboration. You know, I’m a fan of both of theirs and I thought that they fit the track perfectly. It’s one of those ones that’ll get you up and doing your thing. I feel like it’s gonna stick out on the radio. There’s nothing that sounds like it.

Derulo revealed that he wanted to incorporate his Caribbean background into “Swalla”.
