Gavrikov had an assist and two blocked shots in Wednesday's 4-2 win over the Lightning. Gavrikov posted four assists over seven outings in April. The 30-year-old defenseman's first campaign with the Rangers was a bright spot for the team, as he put up a career-best 35 points (14 goals, 21 assists) with 119 shots on net, 105 blocked shots, 50 hits, 50 PIM and a minus-8 rating over 82 appearances. Gavrikov has six more years on his deal, and while he'll likely regress from an 11.8 shooting percentage, he'll be capable of well-rounded production in a top-four role.

Latest Rangers News
Vladislav Gavrikov : Notches assist
J.T. Miller : Adds pair of assists
Miller notched two assists and two shots on goal in Wednesday's 4-2 win over the Lightning. Miller put up a goal and five assists, including four power-play points, over seven contests in April. Injuries limited the 33-year-old to 68 appearances this season, but he was productive with 17 goals and 53 points, as well as 144 shots on net, 123 hits and a minus-30 rating. Miller should contribute in all situations in 2026-27, and he'll have some bounce-back potential if the Rangers' overall play improves.
Gabe Perreault : Pots goal vs. Tampa Bay
Perreault scored a goal on three shots in Wednesday's 4-2 win over the Lightning. Perreault ended the season on a decent note after finding the back of the net in the Rangers' final two games of the campaign. The 20-year-old forward had a brief debut at the NHL level in 2024-25, but the 2025-26 season was his first full season in the league. He managed to rack up 27 points (12 goals, 15 assists) in 49 appearances.
Tye Kartye : Lights lamp twice Wednesday
Kartye scored two goals and added an assist in Wednesday's 4-2 win over the Lightning. Kartye closed out the 2025-26 regular season in style after participating in three of the team's four goals, although the win did very little for the Rangers in the standings. The 24-year-old showed some promise since joining the Rangers via trade from the Kraken, posting 14 points (five goals, nine assists) in 24 games with New York -- as opposed to his eight points in 40 contests with Seattle.
Mika Zibanejad : Two points in regular-season finale
Zibanejad recorded a power-play goal and an even-strength assist in Wednesday's 4-2 win over the Lightning. Zibanejad closed out the regular season in style, ending a six-game goal drought and posting a multi-point performance in the process. Zibanejad had nine points (two goals, seven assists) in his last eight appearances, and he finished the 2025-26 campaign with 78 points (34 goals, 44 assists) in 81 regular-season contests, ending as one of the few bright spots in what was an otherwise lost season for the Rangers.
Dylan Garand : Earns win in season finale
Garand stopped 29 of 31 shots in Wednesday's 4-2 win over the Lightning. Garand got the start between the posts since the Rangers had nothing to play for in this regular-season finale, and in his first appearance since March 27, he delivered a solid outing while posting a .935 save percentage. Garand only made three appearances in 2025-26, going 2-0-1 with a 1.62 GAA and a .948 save percentage. He passed the eye test, but three games isn't enough to project the kind of goaltender he'll be at the next level. He's expected to battle for the No. 2 role next season with the confirmed retirement of Jonathan Quick,
Dylan Garand : Patrolling crease versus Bolts
Garand is slated to start Wednesday's road clash with Tampa Bay, Vince Z. Mercogliano of The Athletic reports. Garand will get the final start of the season while making just his third NHL appearance. In his prior two outings, the 23-year-old backstop went 1-0-1 with a 1.44 GAA. While Igor Shesterkin will remain the No. 1 option in the Big Apple next year, Garand should be in line to step up as the backup now that Jonathan Quick is hanging up his skates.
Matthew Robertson : Pots goal Monday
Robertson scored a goal and added two hits in Monday's 3-2 loss to the Panthers. Robertson has chipped in six points over his last 17 contests. The 25-year-old has seen steady playing time down the stretch, though he's still functionally in a bottom-four role. He's at 18 points, 79 shots on net, 105 hits, 79 blocked shots, 38 PIM and a minus-3 rating over 71 outings this season.
