Nola (4-1) allowed three runs on seven hits and a walk over eight innings Friday, striking out 10 and earning a win over the Padres. Nola was terrific Friday, posting his first double-digit strikeout game since July 4, 2023. He threw 74 of 106 pitches for strikes and forced 14 whiffs in the victory. The veteran righty had yielded just one run through six frames before Graham Pauley's two-run shot in the seventh inning. Since coughing up six earned runs in his season debut, Nola has posted a stifling 1.29 ERA with a 33:10 K:BB over his last five starts (35 innings). He'll carry a 3.23 ERA into his next appearance, which is projected to be on the road against the Angels next week.
Marsh went 3-for-5 with a home run, a double and three RBI in Friday's win over the Padres. Marsh knocked an RBI double in the first inning followed by a two-run blast in the third, both coming against Joe Musgrove. It was Marsh's sixth long ball of the year, though he had just one over his previous 11 games before Friday's big performance. He's now slashing .291/.329/.570 with nine extra-base hits and 16 RBI through 85 plate appearances this season. Friday's game was his second multi-hit showing over his last 14 contests.
Harper went 2-for-3 with a two-run homer and a walk in Thursday's 5-0 win over Cincinnati. After missing Philadelphia's last three games while on the paternity list, Harper returned with a bang Thursday, launching a two-run homer off Nick Martinez to extend the Phillies lead to 4-0 in the third inning. After a slow start to the year, Harper's starting to turn it around at the plate -- he's hit safely in his last seven games, going 10-for-24 with two home runs and nine RBI in that span. He's boosted his slash line to .256/.347/.488 with five homers and 16 RBI across 22 games this season.
Wheeler (2-3) earned the win Thursday against the Reds, allowing one hit and four walks over six scoreless innings. He struck out eight. Wheeler's allowed just one hit in consecutive starts, as he's held opponents scoreless in 13.1 consecutive innings, posting 16 strikeouts in that span. The 33-year-old right-hander has arguably been the top fantasy starting option early in the season -- he lowered his ERA to 1.93 with a 0.88 WHIP and 46:11 K:BB through six starts (37.1 innings). Wheeler will look to keep rolling in his next outing, tentatively scheduled as a road matchup Tuesday against the Angels.
Rojas went 1-for-4 with an RBI and a stolen base in Wednesday's 7-4 loss to the Phillies. It's been an impressive week for Rojas, who extended his hitting streak to six games, going 10-for-22 with a double, a triple and four stolen bases in that span. After starting the year 1-for-22, the 23-year-old Rojas has boosted his slash line to .266/.329/.328 with nine runs scored, three RBI and a team-high seven stolen bases.
Bohm went 4-for-4 with a double, two RBI and a walk in Wednesday's 7-4 loss to the Reds. Bohm's been on a tear of late. He now has multiple hits in four straight contests while extending his hitting streak to eight games -- he's 16-for-30 with a 1.522 OPS in that span. The 27-year-old Bohm's now slashing .337/.430/.558 with three homers, 21 RBI and 11 runs scored through his first 25 games this season.
The Phillies optioned Clemens to Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Thursday. He was up with the big club for three games while Bryce Harper was on paternity leave, but he'll now head back to Lehigh Valley as Harper rejoins the club ahead of Thursday's game in Cincinnati. Clemens went 2-for-4 with a home run in his lone start this week.
