Nylander scored a goal on three shots in Wednesday's 3-1 loss to the Senators. Nylander was hot to end the year, scoring four goals and adding two assists over the last three games. He closed at 79 points, 156 shots on net and a minus-14 rating across 65 appearances, his lowest games-played total since the abbreviated 2020-21 campaign.

Latest Maple Leafs News
William Nylander : Ends year at 30-goal mark
Nylander scored a goal on three shots in Wednesday's 3-1 loss to the Senators. Nylander was hot to end the year, scoring four goals and adding two assists over the last three games. The surge got him to the 30-goal mark for the fifth year in a row and the sixth time in his 11-year career. He closed at 79 points, 156 shots on net and a minus-14 rating across 65 appearances, his lowest games-played total since the abbreviated 2020-21 campaign.
Dennis Hildeby : Falls to Senators in finale
Hildeby stopped 35 of 37 shots in Wednesday's 3-1 loss to the Senators. The third goal was an empty-netter. Hildeby had limited chances at the NHL level this season, going 5-7-4 with a 2.85 GAA and a .912 save percentage over 20 contests. The 24-year-old's path to the NHL isn't much clearer in the next two years since both Joseph Woll and Anthony Stolarz (groin) are under contract through at least 2027-28, though a trade could open a spot. Hildeby will likely head back to AHL Toronto for the Marlies' playoff run in the coming days.
Anthony Stolarz : Suffered groin injury
Stolarz suffered a groin strain when he was hurt April 8 versus Washington, Luke Fox of Sportsnet reports. Stolarz missed the final four games of the season with the injury. He said Thursday that he will hit the rehab process hard once he is able to work out and that no surgery is necessary. Stolarz struggled all season, posting a 10-10-3 record with a 3.28 GAA and an .893 save percentage across 26 regular-season appearances in 2025-26, a far cry from 2024-25, when he led the NHL with a .926 save percentage and was third in GAA at 2.14. Stolarz should be in fine form at the start of training camp in September, barring any major setbacks.
Calle Jarnkrok : Will miss finale
Jarnkrok (undisclosed) will miss Toronto's regular-season finale against Ottawa on Wednesday, David Alter of The Hockey News reports. Jarnkrok will conclude 2025-26 with six goals, eight points, eight PIM, 45 shots, 33 hits and 11 blocks in 56 appearances. Michael Pezzetta will draw into the lineup Wednesday due to Jarnkrok's absence.
Dennis Hildeby : Tending twine Wednesday
Hildeby will defend the cage on the road versus Ottawa on Wednesday, Luke Fox of Sportsnet reports. Hildeby hasn't appeared in an NHL game since Jan. 19 versus the Wild. Overall, the 24-year-old netminder has posted a 5-6-4 record, 2.90 GAA and one shutout in 19 games for the Leafs. Heading into next season, Hildeby will need to edge out Joseph Woll or Anthony Stolarz (lower body) for a spot on the Opening Night roster.
Dennis Hildeby : Elevated from minors
Hildeby was called up from AHL Toronto on Tuesday. Hildeby's promotion is unlikely to come with any minutes, as Joseph Woll figures to get the nod in the season finale versus Ottawa on Wednesday. In his 19 appearances for the Leafs this year, the 24-year-old Hildeby is sporting a 5-6-4 record to go with a 2.90 GAA and one shutout.
Troy Stecher : Ends slump Monday
Stecher notched an assist in Monday's 6-5 loss to the Stars. Stecher ended his 10-game point drought with the helper. The 32-year-old defenseman has played more often than not lately, but that hasn't led to much production anywhere. He's at 14 points, 62 shots on net, 30 hits, 79 blocked shots and a minus-9 rating over 63 appearances between the Maple Leafs and the Oilers this season.
Simon Benoit : Records assist Monday
Benoit logged an assist, two shots on goal, two hits and two blocked shots in Monday's 6-5 loss to the Stars. Benoit ended a nine-game point drought with the helper. He hasn't scored a goal this season, picking up just six assists with 58 shots on net, 192 hits, 112 blocked shots, 41 PIM and a minus-22 rating over 72 appearances. The Maple Leafs close their season in Ottawa on Wednesday.
