Latest Pistons News
Tolu Smith : Logs five minutes in loss
Smith provided four points (2-2 FG), two rebounds and one steal over five minutes during Sunday's 125-94 loss to the Cavaliers in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals. Playing in his second NBA season, Smith was mostly reduced to G League appearances. With the Pistons, he appeared in just 15 regular-season contests with averages of 3.7 points and 3.3 rebounds in 9.1 minutes per game.
Chaz Lanier : Scoreless in five minutes
Lanier accumulated zero points (0-2 FG, 0-1 3Pt) and one assist in five minutes during Sunday's 125-94 loss to Cleveland in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals. The rookie second-round pick played a very minimal role for Detroit this season. Across 34 regular-season appearances, he saw just 7.7 minutes per contest with 2.4 points and 0.7 rebounds. He'll likely see some action during the Summer League.
Isaiah Stewart : Limited to six minutes
Stewart recorded three points (1-1 FG, 1-1 FT) across six minutes during Sunday's 125-94 loss to the Cavaliers in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals. Stewart played a very minor role in Detroit's postseason run, averaging just 11.8 minutes per contest. He found more success in the regular season, posting averages of 10.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 1.6 blocks in 22.7 minutes across 58 appearances.
Ron Holland : Sees six minutes in Game 7
Holland amassed three points (1-3 FG, 1-2 3Pt) and two rebounds in six minutes during Sunday's 125-94 loss to Cleveland in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals. Holland was mostly a depth player in his second NBA season for Detroit. Across 78 regular-season appearances, he posted averages of 8.2 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 1.2 steals and 0.6 three-pointers on 43.2 percent shooting from the field.
Paul Reed : Limited to eight minutes
Reed ended Sunday's 125-94 loss to the Cavaliers in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals with four points (2-5 FG), four rebounds and one assist across eight minutes. Reed rarely saw big workloads for the Pistons and started just 11 regular-season games, but he was a very reliable reserve center. Across 65 regular-season contests, he shot 61.7 percent from the field for averages of 7.8 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 0.9 blocks and 0.9 steals in 13.9 minutes per contest.
Caris LeVert : Notches 11 points in loss
LeVert accumulated 11 points (3-5 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 3-4 FT), two rebounds, two assists and one steal across 17 minutes during Sunday's 125-94 loss to the Cavaliers in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals. Aside from a 24-point explosion in Game 4 against the Cavaliers, LeVert had a difficult season overall in Detroit, and injuries certainly played a role. Across 60 regular-season appearances, LeVert averaged a career-low 19.2 minutes per contest with 7.4 points, 2.7 assists, 2.0 rebounds and 1.0 three-pointers on 41.7 percent shooting from the field. He has one more year left on his current contract with Detroit.
Marcus Sasser : Scores nine points in Game 7
Sasser provided nine points (3-12 FG, 3-9 3Pt), two rebounds, one assist and one steal in 23 minutes during Sunday's 125-94 loss to the Cavaliers in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals. Injuries limited Sasser to 38 regular-season games in 2025-26, and even when available, he was used quite sparingly. He averaged 12.0 minutes per contest with 5.2 points, 2.0 assists and 1.0 rebounds. With Daniss Jenkins thriving in Detroit, Sasser won't be guaranteed a rotation spot to open next season.
Jalen Duren : Muted effort in loss
Duren contributed seven points (3-7 FG, 1-2 FT), nine rebounds, three assists and one block across 26 minutes during Sunday's 125-94 loss to the Cavaliers in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals. Duren's postseason struggles were well documented, but it doesn't take away from the season he had. Duren was tremendous in the regular season, posting 19.5 points, 10.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 0.8 blocks across 70 appearances. He's expected to draw significant interest as a restricted free agent this summer.
