Stewart (knee) didn't play in the Pistons' final five games of their first-round playoff matchup with the Knicks. Stewart's right knee inflammation allowed Paul Reed to receive increased playing time before the Pistons were eliminated from playoff contention. Stewart averaged 6.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.4 blocks in 19.9 minutes across 72 regular-season appearances in 2024-25. The 23-year-old big man should be healthy coming into the 2025-26 campaign.

Isaiah Stewart : Misses final five playoff outings
Stewart (knee) didn't play in the Pistons' final five games of their first-round playoff matchup with the Knicks. Stewart's right knee inflammation allowed Paul Reed to receive increased playing time before the Pistons were eliminated from playoff contention. Stewart averaged 6.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.4 blocks in 19.9 minutes across 72 regular-season appearances in 2024-25. The 23-year-old big man should be healthy coming into the 2025-26 campaign.
Jaden Ivey : Ends season on shelf
Ivey (lower leg) didn't play in the Pistons' final 55 games of the 2024-25 season, including the playoffs. Ivey hasn't played since Jan. 1 due to a broken left fibula, and with Detroit now eliminated from the playoffs, he will have to wait until next season to see any game action. However, the 23-year-old guard had been reportedly progressing in his recovery and was cleared for basketball activities, so he should be healthy ahead of the 2025-26 campaign. Ivey finished the 2024-25 season averaging 17.6 points, 4.1 rebounds and 4.0 assists in 29.9 minutes across 30 regular-season appearances.
Paul Reed : Nearly fouls out in loss
Reed racked up two points (2-2 FT), one rebound and one assist across eight minutes during Thursday's 116-113 loss to the Knicks in Game 6 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs. Despite playing only eight minutes, Reed picked up five fouls during Thursday's season-ending loss to the Knicks. With Isaiah Stewart (knee) missing the final five games of the series, Reed operated as the team's backup center to Jalen Duren. Across the 25-year-old big man's 45 regular-season appearances this season, Reed averaged 4.1 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 9.7 minutes.
Ausar Thompson : Efficient in season-ending loss
Thompson finished Thursday's 116-113 loss to the Knicks in Game 6 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs with 17 points (5-7 FG, 7-10 FT), six rebounds, one assist, two blocks and three steals over 23 minutes. Despite ultimately losing in six games, Thompson came alive late in Detroit's first-round playoff matchup with New York, averaging 19.5 points on 76.5 percent shooting from the field across the final two contests. After missing the end of the 2023-24 season and the first 18 games of the 2024-25 campaign due to a blood clotting issue, Thompson was able to play in 59 of the Pistons' final 64 regular-season outings. Over those 59 regular-season appearances, the 22-year-old forward averaged 10.1 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.7 steals in 22.5 minutes, establishing himself as one of the best young defenders in the NBA. Still, Thompson will likely look to improve upon his outside shooting, as he shot just 22.4 percent from three and 64.1 percent from the free-throw line this season.
Tim Hardaway : Quiet in season-ending loss
Hardaway closed with seven points (3-11 FG, 1-6 3Pt), five rebounds, one assist and one steal across 33 minutes during Thursday's 116-113 loss to the Knicks in Game 6 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs. Hardaway was unable to get anything going on the offensive end, bringing to an end what has been a somewhat disappointing season for the veteran. Despite starting for the entire campaign, his numbers took a hit compared to the past few seasons. Hardaway closed with averages of 11.0 points and 2.2 three-pointers in 28.2 minutes per game.
Dennis Schroder : Flirts with double-double
Schroder closed with nine points (3-9 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, nine assists and one steal over 30 minutes during Thursday's 116-113 loss to the Knicks in Game 6 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs. Schroder fell just short of a double-double, doing everything he could to try and get the Pistons over the line. While the result was not what fans wanted to see, there are plenty of positives to take out of the season. While Schroder played a key role for Detroit down the stretch, the return of Jaden Ivey (lower leg) next season will almost certainly impact what Schroder can do.
Tobias Harris : Modest performance in Game 6 loss
Harris totaled 14 points (6-10 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 1-1 FT), five rebounds and one steal over 39 minutes during Thursday's 116-113 loss to the Knicks in Game 6 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs. Harris was serviceable but failed to reach any great heights as the Pistons were eliminated from the playoffs at the hands of the Knicks. Although his numbers haven't been outstanding this season, Harris was an invaluable addition to a young Detroit squad that ended up exceeding most expectations. While his role is likely to regress slightly next season, he will once again be a key piece as the Pistons look to build on an impressive 2024-25 campaign.
Malik Beasley : Scores 20 points in loss
Beasley contributed 20 points (6-13 FG, 6-13 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds and two assists across 24 minutes during Thursday's 116-113 loss to the Knicks in Game 6 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs. Beasley finished as the Pistons' third-leading scorer in Thursday's loss, recording 20 points for the second time during the first round. The sharpshooter was efficient from beyond the arc, bouncing back after a four-game stretch in which he shot just 23.5 percent from three-point range. The 28-year-old guard averaged 14.0 points, 3.3 three-pointers, 2.5 rebounds and 1.2 assists across 27.2 minutes per game during the club's first-round series loss to the Knicks. Beasley is slated to become an unrestricted free agent after setting the Pistons' single-season record for three-pointers made (319). He also shot a career-high 41.6 percent from downtown. Beasley played in all 82 regular-season games (18 starts), finishing with averages of 16.3 points, 3.9 three-pointers, 2.6 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 0.9 steals across 27.8 minutes per contest.
