The Bears re-signed Carlson (collarbone) on Friday, Brendan Sugrue of USA Today reports. Carlson missed the entire 2024 campaign due to a serious collarbone injury sustained back in September, after having begun the season on the practice squad. He only appeared in one game with Chicago in 2023, playing one snap on special teams. Carlson figures to be fully healthy by the start of training camp, at which point he could get a chance to compete for a greater depth role behind Cole Kmet and Durham Smythe.
Jackson's contract was extended one year through 2027 by the Bears on Thursday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports. Chicago traded for Jackson at the start of the new league year and took on the remainder of the three-year, $51-million contract that he signed with the Rams in 2024. Jackson played in just four games for Los Angeles last season after fracturing his scapula in Week 2, though he was also benched after struggling in his Week 10 return to action. The former Lion made a Pro Bowl in 2021 with his original team and is now projected to earn a starting guard spot with the coach, Ben Johnson, who was his offensive coordinator for two years in Detroit, per Garafolo.
The Bears and Zaccheaus have agreed to terms of a contract, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. Zaccheaus had a bounceback with Washington last year, forming a nice pairing with rookie QB Jayden Daniels to the tune of 45 catches for 506 yards and three touchdowns on 64 targets over 20 games between the regular season and playoffs. With veteran WR Keenan Allen hitting free agency this week, Zaccheaus will fill the opening left behind alongside DJ Moore and Rome Odunze while getting to work with another signal-caller from the 2024 class in Caleb Williams.
Daly agreed to a one-year deal with the Bears on Tuesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. Listed at center on the depth chart, Daly played in all 17 games this past season while serving as the Bears' long snapper, a role he's expected to reprise in 2025.
Jarrett and the Bears reached agreement Monday on a three-year contract, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Released by Atlanta earlier in the day, Jarrett waited only a few hours before agreeing to a contract that's reportedly worth $43.5 million, including $28.5 million guaranteed. He's long been one of the NFL's better interior pass rushers, but he had just 2.5 sacks last season after suffering an ACL tear in 2023. He did play all 17 games in 2024, and his peripheral pass-rush numbers (e.g. 12 QB hits) were more impressive than the lackluster sack total. The Bears apparently have high hopes for Jarrett in his age-32 season ahead.
Odeyingbo is in line to sign a three-year, $48 million contract with the Bears, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. Odeyingbo will depart Indianapolis after four seasons with the Colts. In 2024, the Vanderbilt product recorded 31 combined tackles, including his lowest sack total since rookie season with 3.0. He'll figure to be a prominent piece on the Bears' defensive line in 2025.
Chicago will sign Dalman to a three-year, $42 million contract, Marc Raimondi of ESPN reports. Dalman becomes the latest in a series of offseason additions to the Bears' offensive line with the huge deal. He projects to fit in between fellow recent signees Joe Thuney and Jonah Jackson in Chicago's starting lineup in 2025.
