Edgecombe registered 12 points (5-11 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 0-2 FT), one rebound, two assists and one steal in 28 minutes during Monday's 137-98 loss to the Knicks in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals. The 76ers were blown out of this contest, and fatigue may have played a role after a grueling seven-game series against Boston. Through eight playoff games, Edgecombe is shooting 42.2 percent from the field and 31.5 percent from the line with averages of 14.8 points, 6.1 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.0 steals in 37.1 minutes per contest.

Latest 76ers News
VJ Edgecombe : Quiet in Game 1
Johni Broome : Makes garbage-time cameo
Broome played the final 4:33 of Monday's 137-98 loss to the Knicks in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals, recording zero points (0-1 FG, 0-1 3Pt) and one rebound. The rookie second-round pick out of Auburn underwent a successful partial meniscectomy on his right knee Feb. 28 and was sidelined for about seven weeks before being cleared to play in advance of the 76ers' first-round playoff matchup with the Celtics. He didn't make any appearances during Philadelphia's seven-game series victory, but after Monday's series opener with the Knicks devolved into a blowout in the second half, Broome was able to make his postseason debut in garbage time. Broome will continue to be held out of Philadelphia's rotation in more competitive contests for the duration of the 76ers' playoff run.
Joel Embiid : Shooting woes in Game 1 defeat
Embiid finished Monday's 137-98 loss to New York in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals with 14 points (3-11 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 8-9 FT), four rebounds and one assist across 25 minutes. Embiid had a productive night at the charity stripe but struggled mightily from the field. After posting back-to-back double-doubles to close out the first round against Boston, the star big man couldn't carry that momentum into this one. While he still finished as Philadelphia's second-leading scorer, his struggles from beyond the arc continued -- he is shooting just 13.6 percent from deep in five postseason games. Embiid and the Sixers will look to steal a game at Madison Square Garden in Game 2 on Wednesday.
Tyrese Maxey : Struggles in Game 1 loss
Maxey registered 13 points (3-9 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 7-7 FT), three rebounds and two assists across 27 minutes during Monday's 137-98 loss to the Knicks in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals. After posting a 30-point, 11-rebound double-double in Saturday's Game 7 win over Boston in the first round, Maxey cooled off Monday. The star point guard struggled to find a rhythm on the offensive end, failing to reach the 20-point threshold for the first time this postseason. He was one of five Philadelphia players to score in double figures, though none had more than 17. Maxey will look to bounce back in Game 2 on Wednesday.
Paul George : Paces Philadelphia in blowout loss
George supplied 17 points (6-11 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 1-1 FT), three rebounds and three assists across 26 minutes in Monday's 137-98 loss to the Knicks in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals. George turned in an efficient performance Monday, knocking down a game-high four triples while leading Philadelphia in scoring despite a blowout loss that kept him off the floor in the fourth quarter. The veteran forward also paced the first unit in assists. He has now hit at least three three-pointers in six straight games, scoring 16-plus points in five of them. George will look to remain productive in Game 2 on Wednesday as the Sixers try to steal a game at Madison Square Garden.
Joel Embiid : Cleared for Game 1
Embiid (abdomen) is available and starting Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals against the Knicks on Monday. Embiid was tagged as probable leading up to Game 1, and he's since been given the green light to take the court. He didn't appear to be on any type of minutes restriction in the first round against Boston, as he averaged 28.0 points, 9.0 rebounds and 7.0 assists across 36.5 minutes per game in four appearances.
Joel Embiid : Probable for Game 1 on Monday
Embiid (hip) is listed as probable for Monday's Game 1 of the Eastern Conference semifinals series versus New York. Embiid is only three weeks removed from an appendectomy. He also took a few shots to his surgically repaired knee during the series against Boston, causing him obvious discomfort. However, the 32-year-old is listed on the injury report because of a right hip contusion. Embiid struggled shooting the ball from deep against the Celtics, although he still played well overall. He will have a good chance to keep his productive ways going in the semifinals, considering he averaged 32.0 points, 10.5 rebounds and 5.0 assists while shooting 50.0 percent from downtown in two regular-season meetings with New York.
Andre Drummond : Quiet on both ends Saturday
Drummond produced one rebound and one assist over eight minutes during Saturday's 109-100 win over the Celtics in Game 7 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs. Drummond combined for 73 minutes in the first three games of the series. However, with Joel Embiid returning in Game 4 after undergoing an appendectomy on April 9, Drummond's workload was reduced significantly. As long as Embiid stays healthy, or is at least able to play significant minutes during the second-round series against the Knicks, Drummond may only see limited action, significantly reducing his fantasy value.
