Toppin signed a two-way contract with the Knicks on Wednesday. The Knicks extended a qualifying offer to Toppin in late June, and he'll officially remain with the team as a two-way player. Toppin appeared in nine regular-season games for the parent club last year and averaged just 1.4 points in 4.2 minutes per game. It wouldn't be surprising to see him spend plenty of time in the G League once again this year.

Latest Knicks News
Jacob Toppin : Lands two-way deal
Toppin signed a two-way contract with the Knicks on Wednesday. The Knicks extended a qualifying offer to Toppin in late June, and he'll officially remain with the team as a two-way player. Toppin appeared in nine regular-season games for the parent club last year and averaged just 1.4 points in 4.2 minutes per game. It wouldn't be surprising to see him spend plenty of time in the G League once again this year.
Jalen Brunson : Healed from injury
Brunson (hand/wrist) stated Thursday that he's no longer injured, Fred Katz of The Athletic reports. As expected, Brunson will be ready for the opening of Knicks training camp. He's coming off the best season of his career, making his first All-Star Game and being voted to Second Team All-NBA. The Knicks made a splash in the offseason, adding Mikal Bridges to the roster, which could take some of the usage burden off Brunson.
Kevin McCullar : Inks two-way pact
The Knicks signed McCullar (knee) to a two-way contract Monday. After being selected by the club with the No. 56 overall pick of the 2024 draft, McCullar will officially join the Knicks on a two-way pact. The 23-year-old's final collegiate season was cut short due to undergoing surgery on his left knee, and he averaged 18.3 points, 6.0 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 1.5 steals in 26 regular-season games before being shut down. McCullar will likely spend most of his rookie season with the team's G League affiliate, the Westchester Knicks, as he is buried behind a plethora of talent at the forward spot.
Chuma Okeke : Inks contract with Knicks
The Knicks agreed to a deal with Okeke on Thursday, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports. Okeke averaged 2.3 points and 1.7 rebounds in 9.2 minutes across 47 appearances, including eight starts, for the Mgaic in 2023-24. Now, the 25-year-old forward will have the opportunity to compete for depth minutes in New York's rotation.
Precious Achiuwa : Returning to Knicks
The Knicks re-signed Achiuwa on Tuesday to a one-year, $6 million contract. Achiuwa was traded to the Knicks from the Raptors midway through the 2023-24 season. In his 49 regular-season appearances, including 18 starts, for New York, the 24-year-old big man averaged 7.6 points, 7.2 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 1.1 blocks in 24.2 minutes. Next season, Achiuwa should continue to receive primary bench minutes in the team's frontcourt rotation.
Tyler Kolek : Notches 21 points
Kolek produced 21 points (6-14 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 6-7 FT), eight assists, four rebounds and two steals across 32 minutes of Wednesday's 106-105 Summer League win over the Kings. Selected with the No. 34 pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, Kolek made quite the impression Wednesday after struggling with his shooting in his previous two outings. Through three total appearances in the Summer League, Kolek has produced averages of 11.3 points, 7.3 assists, 4.3 rebounds and 1.6 three-pointers.
Cameron Payne : Inks deal with New York
Payne signed a one-year, $3.1 million contract with the Knicks on Monday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports. Payne appeared in 78 games across stops with Milwaukee and Philly a season ago, averaging 7.4 points, 1.5 rebounds and 2.6 assists in 16.7 minutes. He'll join New York as backcourt depth behind Jalen Brunson on a veteran's minimum contract.
Jalen Brunson : Inks extension with New York
The Knicks signed Brunson to a four-year, $156.5 million contract extension Friday that includes a player option in the fourth year, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. Brunson was eligible to sign a five-year, $269 million deal in 2025, but his decision to take a pay cut in 2024 will provide the Knicks with cap flexibility as they look to maximize their championship window. The star guard was named to the All-NBA Second Team in 2023-24 after averaging 28.7 points, 6.7 assists and 3.6 rebounds in 35.4 minutes across 77 regular-season appearances. Despite coming up short in the Eastern Conference Semifinals to Indiana, Brunson also had a fantastic playoff run, averaging 32.4 points, 7.5 assists and 3.3 rebounds in 39.8 minutes across 13 postseason outings. With OG Anunoby already signing a five-year extension this offseason, Brunson's decision could allow New York the ability to retain players like Mikal Bridges long-term.
