McBride won't start Tuesday's Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Cavaliers, Serena Winters of FanDuel Sports Network Ohio reports. With OG Anunoby (hamstring) back in the lineup, McBride will retreat to the second unit. The 25-year-old guard has averaged 5.9 points while shooting 33.3 percent from the field in 19.4 minutes per game across eight appearances off the bench this postseason.

Miles McBride : Not starting Tuesday
McBride won't start Tuesday's Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Cavaliers, Serena Winters of FanDuel Sports Network Ohio reports. With OG Anunoby (hamstring) back in the lineup, McBride will retreat to the second unit. The 25-year-old guard has averaged 5.9 points while shooting 33.3 percent from the field in 19.4 minutes per game across eight appearances off the bench this postseason.
OG Anunoby : Ready for Game 1
Anunoby (hamstring) is available for Tuesday's Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Cavaliers, per James L. Edwards III of The Athletic. Anunoby has been cleared to return for the series opener after a 13-day layoff allowed him to recover from a right hamstring strain. The star forward has been sidelined since May 6, when he exited Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals against the 76ers. While the Knicks managed to sweep that series in his absence the last two games, his return is a massive boost as the team faces a fresh Cleveland squad.
OG Anunoby : Likely to play Tuesday
Anunoby (hamstring) is listed as probable for Tuesday's Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Cavaliers. Anunoby missed the final two games of the Eastern Conference Semifinals against the 76ers due to a right hamstring strain, though he was a full participant in Monday's practice and is expected to play Tuesday. Over eight playoff appearances in 2026, the 28-year-old forward has averaged 21.4 points, 7.5 rebounds, 1.9 steals, 1.3 assists and 1.1 blocks across 35.3 minutes per contest. He's also shooting 61.9 percent from the field and 53.8 percent from three-point range this postseason.
OG Anunoby : Practices in full
Anunoby (hamstring) practiced in full Monday, Ian Begley of SportsNet New York reports. No surprise here, as Anunoby is expected to be ready for Game 1 against the Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference Finals on Tuesday. Additional clarity will be known once the Knicks release their injury report Monday afternoon or evening.
OG Anunoby : Expected to be ready for next round
Shams Charania of ESPN reports Wednesday that Anunoby (hamstring) is expected to be ready for the start of the Eastern Conference Finals. Anunoby was limited to individual work at Wednesday's practice, but the belief is that he'll be available for Game 1 of the next round of the playoffs. With the Cavaliers and Pistons locked up at 2-2 during their Eastern Conference Semifinals series, Anunoby could have nearly a week to recuperate.
OG Anunoby : Limited at practice
Anunoby (hamstring) did individual work at Wednesday's practice, per Stefan Bondy of The New York Post. It sounds like Anunoby is still limited during his recovery from a right hamstring strain. With the Cavaliers and Pistons in a dogfight during their Eastern Conference Semifinals matchup, Anunoby has plenty of extra time to recover.
Ariel Hukporti : Increased role Sunday
Hukporti closed Sunday's 144-114 victory over the 76ers in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals with five points (1-4 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 3-6 FT), four rebounds and one assist over 16 minutes. Hukporti logged double-digit minutes for just the third time this postseason, taking advantage of the fact that the game was done and dusted early. Although his role is likely to remain very limited, it is worth noting that opposing teams have started to go in the direction of fouling Mitchel Robinson. Should this continue, Hukporti could be called upon in specific situations, given that he is at least somewhat reliable from the free-throw line.
Josh Hart : Flirts with double-double Sunday
Hart posted 17 points (6-10 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 1-1 FT), nine rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal across 29 minutes during Sunday's 144-114 win over the 76ers in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals. Hart turned in a balanced performance, falling one rebound short of his second straight double-double. It continued what has been a mixed bag for Hart during the playoffs, having scored double digits on six occasions, while also managing to average 1.6 steals per contest. The Knicks will now face either the Cavaliers or the Pistons for the right to move on to the NBA Finals.
