Gallup agreed to terms on a one-year, $3 million contract with the Raiders on Monday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. After a six-year stint in Dallas to start his career, Gallup will get a fresh start in Las Vegas. His second year with the Cowboys generated plenty of optimism, as he tallied 1,107 yards receiving to go along with six touchdowns. However, he has failed to replicate those types of numbers since. With Davante Adams and Jakobi Meyers locked in as the Raiders' top pass catchers, Gallup will compete with the likes of Tre Tucker and DJ Turner, among others, for the No. 3 pass-catching role.

Latest Raiders News
Michael Gallup : Lands in Las Vegas
Aidan O'Connell : Remains set for QB battle
O'Connell remains in position to compete with Gardner Minshew for the starting job this offseason, after the Raiders refrained from selecting a rookie quarterback in the 2024 NFL Draft, Mark Anderson of the Associated Press reports. Las Vegas was an oft-theorized candidate to add a QB in April's draft, but six signal-callers ultimately went off the board before the team's first-round selection at No. 13 overall, which became playmaking tight end Brock Bowers. The team invested second- and third-round selections in offensive linemen Jackson Powers-Johnson and Delmar Glaze, putting whoever wins the 2024 starting gig in a better position for success. O'Connell completed 213 of 343 pass attempts for 2,218 yards, 12 touchdowns and seven interceptions across 10 starts last season, which is solid rookie numbers for a fourth-round pick, but Minshew boasts enough experience that this offseason should play out as a true competition.
Gardner Minshew : Avoids draft competition
Minshew remains poised to compete with Aidan O'Connell for the starting job this offseason, with the Raiders not having added to the quarterback position in the 2024 NFL Draft, Mark Anderson of the Associated Press reports. Minshew joined Las Vegas early in free agency back in March, and while it looked like the team was a candidate to add a rookie via April's draft, six quarterbacks came off the board before the Raiders' first-round selection of tight end Brock Bowers at No. 13 overall. Las Vegas also boosted the O-line with premium picks, selecting second-round guard Jackson Powers-Johnson and third-round tackle Delmar Glaze, so whichever of Minshew or O'Connell ultimately wins the starting role looks to be in a notably better position to succeed.
Zamir White : On track to pace Las Vegas backfield
Following the 2024 NFL Draft, White continues to profile as the Raiders' top backfield option, Vic Tafur and Tashan Reed of The Athletic report. Since the end of last season, the Raiders notably bid adieu to Josh Jacobs, who had served as the team's top RB since 2019. Following free agency and the draft, White remains projected to pace the team's rushing corps in 2024, with newcomer Alexander Mattison on hand to work in a complementary role, while Ameer Abdullah and rookie sixth-rounder Dylan Laube profile as change-of-pace options. Though it remains to be seen how much volume White yields to his teammates, the 2022 fourth-rounder nonetheless appears poised to see a significant enough uptick in touches (after recording 104 carries and 15 catches in 17 regular-season games in 2023) to maintain weekly fantasy utility this coming season.
Michael Mayer : Joined by Bowers in TE room
GM Tom Telesco said Thursday that he excepts Mayer to "take a leap this year" even though the Raiders drafted fellow tight end Brock Bowers at No. 13 overall, Nick Walters of KTNV Las Vegas reports. The Raiders presumably plan to use a lot of multi-TE formations, but the new competition for snaps and targets is nonetheless terrible news for Mayer's fantasy value. He and Bowers were arguably the most productive tight ends in college football over the past half-decade, with Mayer recording 2,099 yards and 18 TDs in three seasons at Notre Dame and Bowers putting up 2,538 and 26, respectively, over three seasons for Georgia. While Mayer is both taller and heavier, Bowers is faster, more agile and an earlier draft pick (Mayer went 35th in 2023). On the bright side, Telesco said there's "no concern" about the foot injury that brought Mayer's rookie season to an early end after 14 games (12 starts) and a 27-304-2 receiving line, per Paul Gutierrez of ESPN.com.
Maxx Crosby : Fully healthy
Crosby (knee) said, "I'm feeling better than I ever have," Monday, after he spent much of 2023 fighting through a knee injury that required draining multiple times a week, Nick Shook of NFL.com reports. Crosby set career highs in combined tackles (90) and sacks (14.5) last season despite spending much of the campaign hampered by a bursa joint issue. The 26-year-old underwent a procedure to correct it in January after the season ended and began rehabbing it soon after, which went "incredible," according to Crosby.
Cody Whitehair : Finds new opportunity
Whitehair signed with the Raiders on Monday. Whitehair was released by the Bears in February after eight years with the team, which saw him earn a Pro Bowl appearance in 2018. The 31-year-old made 118 starts on the offensive line during that time and will likely be a reserve option for Las Vegas this season.
Davante Adams : Intends to remain with Las Vegas
Adams said Sunday at his annual youth football camp that he intends to play for the Raiders next season, Tashan Reed of The Athletic reports. There was some speculation early in the offseason that the Raiders could pursue trading their star wideout, but general manager Tom Telesco shot that idea down in late February. Adams' comments Sunday seem to solidify the expectation that he'll remain with Las Vegas for a third campaign in 2024. Adams reached the 100-reception mark for the fourth straight season in 2023, but his 1,144 receiving yards and eight receiving touchdowns were his lowest totals since 2019, when he played in only 12 games due to a toe injury.
