McDermott ended with seven points (2-5 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 1-2 FT), three rebounds and one steal over 26 minutes during Sunday's 122-110 loss to Portland. The veteran sharpshooter landed a one-year deal with the Kings last summer, but it was not until the latter part of the year that he saw meaningful playing time. McDermott averaged 5.7 points, 1.3 rebounds, 0.8 assists and 1.7 three-pointers in 15.1 minutes per tilt through 29 games this season while shooting 39.0 percent from deep. He'll be trying to find a home as depth on the wing this offseason.

Latest Kings News
Doug McDermott : Chips in seven points Sunday
Dylan Cardwell : Wraps up decent rookie campaign
Cardwell accumulated six points (3-7 FG, 0-1 3Pt), eight rebounds, one block and one steal over 21 minutes during Sunday's 122-110 loss to Portland. Though it was fellow rookie Maxime Raynaud who was more productive for the Kings this year, Cardwell held his own in a backup role and will likely be pushing for a rotation spot in the frontcourt in 2026-27. Through 44 contests, Cardwell averaged 5.4 points, 7.5 rebounds and 1.5 blocks in 20.6 minutes per contest while shooting 58.7 percent from the floor.
Daeqwon Plowden : Logs 22 minutes in loss
Plowden closed with eight points (2-5 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 3-3 FT), one rebound, two assists and two blocks across 22 minutes during Sunday's 122-110 loss to the Trail Blazers. Plowden carved out a decent role for himself down the stretch once the Kings waved the white towel on their season. The rookie ended up with 32 appearances and averages of 10.8 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 0.7 steals and 1.9 three-pointers in 26.4 minutes per contest.
Devin Carter : Struggles with shot in loss
Carter chipped in eight points (3-14 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 2-5 FT), six rebounds, eight assists, one block and two steals over 34 minutes during Sunday's 122-110 loss to the Trail Blazers. Carter couldn't find his rhythm from the field, but he was relatively close to a triple-double. Carter was out of the rotation for most of the season, but he eventually carved out a role once the Kings began their youth movement. Across 38 total appearances, he averaged 8.9 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 0.9 steals and 0.8 three-pointers in 18.4 minutes per contest.
Nique Clifford : Closes out season strongly
Clifford totaled 24 points (10-13 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 4-4 FT), seven rebounds, five assists and one block in 39 minutes during Sunday's 122-110 loss to the Trail Blazers. Clifford was one of the young players who benefited from steady playing time in a struggling Kings team, and his numbers evolved as the season went on. The former Colorado State standout started in 28 of his 75 appearances and posted decent numbers, averaging 8.6 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists per contest while shooting 33.3 percent from beyond the arc. However, his growth after the All-Star break was noticeable, as he averaged 13.2 points, 5.2 boards, 4.0 assists and 1.4 steals in 23 games since the break while shooting 35.9 percent from three.
Maxime Raynaud : Loaded stat line in season finale
Raynaud provided 21 points (7-10 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 4-4 FT), nine rebounds, two assists, two blocks and one steal in 37 minutes during Sunday's 122-110 loss to the Trail Blazers. Raynaud was one of the most productive rookies in the 2025-26 NBA season despite being a second-round pick, as the Stanford star grabbed a starting role once Domantas Sabonis (knee) was ruled out for the rest of the season and produced impressive numbers. Raynaud finished his first year in The Association with averages of 12.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 0.5 steals and 0.5 blocks per game while starting in 56 of his 74 regular-season appearances and logging 26.6 minutes per game. Raynaud also recorded 18 double-doubles and shot 57.1 percent from the floor.
Precious Achiuwa : Strong line in loss Sunday
Achiuwa amassed 27 points (10-21 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 7-11 FT), 11 rebounds, four assists and one block across 35 minutes during Sunday's 122-110 loss to the Trail Blazers. Even though he's no longer a young player, it's clear that Achiuwa took advantage of his opportunity to play regular rotation minutes with the Kings, and he showed he can still be a productive player when given a big enough role. Achiuwa made a career-high 57 starts and posted personal-best numbers in points (10.1), rebounds (6.7), assists (1.4) and steals (0.9) per game while playing 23.9 minutes per game, another career-high mark.
Isaiah Stevens : Not available for finale
Stevens (ankle) is listed out for Sunday's game against the Trail Blazers. One of Sacramento's two-way players, Stevens will finish out the season having not seen action at the NBA or G League level since March 21 due to a sore right ankle. The second-year point guard made just three appearances in total for Sacramento in 2025-26, averaging 3.3 points, 3.3 assists, 1.7 steals and 1.0 rebounds in 14.3 minutes.
