Dortch has been working with the first-team offense, PHNX Sports reports. The 5-foot-7 slot man started off as a backup the past two seasons but usually got a good number of targets when injuries thrust him into a top-three role. The Cardinals apparently liked what they saw and now have Dortch positioned to open the year getting regular slot snaps, albeit with free-agent signing Zay Jones lingering as a threat to fill in if Dortch slips up. Jones has mostly worked with backups early in training camp, and he might be more of a threat to perimeter receiver Michael Wilson than to Dortch.

Latest Cardinals News
Greg Dortch : Working with starting offense
Dortch has been working with the first-team offense, PHNX Sports reports. The 5-foot-7 slot man started off as a backup the past two seasons but usually got a good number of targets when injuries thrust him into a top-three role. The Cardinals apparently liked what they saw and now have Dortch positioned to open the year getting regular slot snaps, albeit with free-agent signing Zay Jones lingering as a threat to fill in if Dortch slips up. Jones has mostly worked with backups early in training camp, and he might be more of a threat to perimeter receiver Michael Wilson than to Dortch.
Zay Jones : Mostly working with backups
Michael Wilson has been working ahead of Jones early in training camp, Theo Mackie of The Arizona Republic reports. Jones still has time to make an impression this summer and potentially challenge Wilson or slot man Greg Dortch for a top-three role at wide receiver. However, the Cardinals might prefer to deploy Jones as an experienced backup who can fill in at multiple receiver spots, in which case any fantasy value would be contingent on Wilson, Dortch or third overall pick Marvin Harrison missing time/getting benched.
Michael Wilson : Running with starters
Wilson is working with the starting offense early in training camp, ahead of newcomer Zay Jones, Theo Mackie of The Arizona Republic reports. The Cardinals signed Jones in May, shortly after taking fellow wideout Marvin Harrison with the third overall draft pick. With Harrison locked in for a starting spot, the other two starting roles presumably will come down to Wilson, Jones and 5-foot-7 slot man Greg Dortch. Wilson was targeted on 14.1 percent of his routes as a rookie -- one of the lowest rates in the league among starting wide receivers -- but he made the most of his limited chances with a 65.5 percent catch rate and 14.9 yards per reception (9.7 YPT). The 2023 third-round pick enters Year 2 as the favorite to start opposite Harrison, and there's always the possibility of some volume growth even if Harrison and TE Trey McBride are runaway favorites to be the team's most heavily targeted players.
Carter O'Donnell : Reverts to IR
O'Donnell (undisclosed) reverted to the Cardinals' injured reserve Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. O'Donnell was waived by the Cardinals with an injury designation Tuesday, and he reverted to injured reserve after clearing waivers. He'll now be forced to miss the entire 2024 season unless he reaches an injury settlement with Arizona.
Jon Gaines : Avoids PUP list before camp
Gaines (knee) avoided being placed on the Cardinals' active/PUP list prior to training camp Thursday, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports. Gaines missed the 2023 campaign while recovering from a torn ACL that he suffered in August, but he'll enter camp as an active participant. Head coach Jonathan Gannon said Wednesday that the offensive lineman will be limited during the early days of camp, but that he rehabbed "every day" during the offseason, which appears to have paid off.
BJ Ojulari : Adds weight, looking improved
Ojulari has added 10 pounds and focused on shortening his stride this offseason, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN reports. Ojulari, a 2023 second-round pick, was sidelined until training camp as a rookie due to hamstring and knee injuries, making this his first fully healthy offseason. Now, Ojulari will need to compete for a sizeable role in Arizona's crowded outside linebacker rotation in order to build on a rookie campaign in which he tallied 40 tackles (32 solo), 4.0 sacks and one pass breakup across 17 games. With a larger snap share in Year 2, Ojulari will be a sleeper candidate to make the leap to IDP fantasy relevance.
Marvin Harrison : Early offseason standout
Harrison has impressed throughout OTAs and mandatory minicamp and quickly solidified himself as the top option in Arizona's wide receiver room, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN reports. Harrison was fully expected to ascend as the No. 1 target for quarterback Kyler Murray upon being chosen No. 4 overall in April's draft, so it's no surprise that his offseason transition to the NFL has been "pretty seamless," per coach Jonathan Gannon, who also said the rookie has been "everything I expected." By all reports, Harrison has had no issues picking up Arizona's playbook, with positional mate Michael Wilson calling him "very perspicacious," saying "I truly think sky's the limit for [Harrison]." Tight end Trey McBride may represent more real competition for targets than fellow wideouts Wilson or Greg Dortch, but it's easy to envision a scenario where the Cardinals' passing offense is heavily filtered through its top two targets. The biggest question for Harrison will be whether he can live up to his hype immediately, as his ADP has already risen to the early second round of most 2024 fantasy drafts.
Garrett Williams : Full go at team OTAs
Williams (ankle) was a full participant at the Cardinals team OTAs this week, Tyler Drake of ArizonaSports.com reports. Williams ended the 2023 campaign on the sidelines for Arizona's season finale due to an ankle injury, but the cornerback appears to be a full go ahead of his sophomore year with the Cardinals in 2024. Defensive coordinator Nick Rallis has taken notice of him at OTAs and he could be set to take a leap in his second year in the league after recording 23 tackles, an interception and two pass deflections over nine games in his rookie season.
