Andrei Arlovski and Tim Sylvia staredown

“Pride of a Nation” Quick Results

One FC: Pride Of A Nation” is in the books from the Philippines.

The event began at 8:30 p.m. ET and was available on pay-per-view. A bantamweight bout between Bibiano Fernandes and Gustavo Falciroli headlined the event. The former earned a unanimous decision win.

Another featured fight was a fourth meeting between former UFC champions Andrei Arlovski and Tim Sylvia, but the fight ended in controversey.

Arlvoski got off to somewhat of a slow start, but the second round was all his, as he battered Sylvia often. Finally, in the final minute of the round, Arlovski sent Sylvia crumbling to the ground with a nice couple of right hands. He then landed two fierce soccer kicks, which the referee deemed illegal, and Sylvia could not continue.

Also on the card, UFC and WEC veteran Jens Pulver looked to take a step in the right direction in his aging career, but instead was defeated via second round stoppage. However, UFC vet Phil Baroni managed to walk away with a quick win, defeating Rodrigo Ribeiro at 1:00 of the first round.
