Gibson had seven carries for 33 yards and two receptions (on as many targets) for 31 yards in Sunday's 30-17 loss to the Cardinals. Gibson followed up his first touchdown of the season with a well-rounded effort behind starter Rhamondre Stevenson (13-69-0). The 26-year-old Gibson is averaging 4.7 yards with the Patriots this season, a mark he hadn't sniffed since his impressive rookie campaign with Washington in 2020. Gibson can provide niche value for those in deep PPR formats for Week 16 against Buffalo.

Antonio Gibson Latest News
Gains 64 yards on nine touches
Gibson had seven carries for 33 yards and two receptions (on as many targets) for 31 yards in Sunday's 30-17 loss to the Cardinals. Gibson followed up his first touchdown of the season with a well-rounded effort behind starter Rhamondre Stevenson (13-69-0). The 26-year-old Gibson is averaging 4.7 yards with the Patriots this season, a mark he hadn't sniffed since his impressive rookie campaign with Washington in 2020. Gibson can provide niche value for those in deep PPR formats for Week 16 against Buffalo.
Scores first TD of season
Gibson carried the ball seven times for 62 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 25-24 loss to the Colts. The fifth-year RB posted his best rushing yards total since Week 2, and Gibson capped his big performance with an 11-yard TD run in the fourth quarter that gave the Patriots a 24-17 lead. The trip to the end zone was the first of the season for the former Washington back -- his last touchdown came in Week 16 of 2023. He hasn't seen double-double digits touches while Rhamondre Stevenson has been healthy since Week 2, but Gibson's ability to turn small holes into big gains could lead to a bigger role in the offense on the other side of New England's Week 14 bye.
Six carries versus Miami
Gibson, who logged 30 of a possible 69 snaps on offense in Sunday's 34-15 loss to the Dolphins, per Mike Reiss of ESPN.com, carried six times for 31 yards and caught one of his two targets for 14 yards in the contest. Meanwhile, starting running back Rhamondre Stevenson was on the field for 29 snaps Sunday, while carrying eight times for 13 yards and not catching either of his two passing targets. While we don't expect Gibson to overtake Stevenson in the Patriots' backfield pecking order any time soon, Gibson's workload this coming weekend against the Colts will be worth monitoring to see if the uptick in his RB snap share extends beyond Week 12, when Stevenson struggled to get going in a game in which Miami led by a 31-0 score by the end of the third quarter.
Four carries Sunday
Gibson carried four times for 18 yards and caught his only target for two yards in Sunday's 28-22 loss to the Rams. Per Mike Reiss of ESPN.com, Gibson was on the field for 13 of a possible 76 snaps on offense, while Rhamondre Stevenson logged 58 snaps and 20 carries in the contest. As long as Stevenson remains available, neither Stevenson or JaMycal Hasty (five snaps, two carries) merit fantasy lineup consideration.
Five carries Sunday
Gibson logged seven of a possible 64 snaps on offense in Sunday's 19-3 win over the Bears, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports. In the process, Gibson recorded 26 rushing yards on five carries and wasn't targeted in the contest. As long as he continues to work behind Rhamondre Stevenson (45 snaps, 20 carries Sunday), Gibson is off the fantasy radar.
Limited role Sunday
Gibson was on the field for eight of a possible 69 snaps on offense in Sunday's 20-17 overtime loss to the Titans, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports. Gibson finished the contest with one carry for minus-one yard and caught his only target for 12 yards. While working behind Rhamondre Stevenson (51 snaps, 10 carries versus Tennessee), Gibson carries limited fantasy upside ahead of a Week 10 trip to Chicago.
Ready to face Titans
Gibson (toe) doesn't carry an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Titans. After being limited in practice Wednesday and Thursday, Gibson worked fully Friday, paving the way for the running back to face Tennessee on Sunday. In the Patriots' win over the Jets in Week 8, Gibson was on the field for 13 snaps on offense, en route to rushing five times for seven yards in the contest. With Rhamondre Stevenson -- who finished with 20 carries versus New York -- working in the lead role, Gibson's fantasy value is limited in his complementary role.
Limited by toe injury
Gibson (toe) was limited at practice Wednesday. In this past Sunday's 25-22 win over the Jets, Gibson logged 13 snaps on offense, while rushing five times for seven yards in the contest. As long as Rhamondre Stevenson (who had 20 carries versus New York) is available, Gibson's fantasy value is limited in his complementary backfield role.
Five carries in backup role
Gibson rushed five times for six yards and wasn't targeted in Sunday's 25-22 win over the Jets. Gibson was used in a backup role while Rhamondre Stevenson rumbled for two touchdowns on 20 carries. Stevenson even got all three of the targets among New England's running backs. Even in a favorable matchup against the reeling Titans, Gibson will be tough to trust in Week 9 with a healthy Stevenson occupying a workhorse role.
