Reid averaged 11.1 points, 3.7 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 0.8 blocks and 0.5 steals across 22.6 minutes in 16 playoff appearances. The Sixth Man of the Year award winner did not fully live up to his regular-season standards in the playoffs. However, he did have a few great games against Denver and Dallas in the postseason as the Timberwolves put together an impressive run. The 24-year-old averaged 13.5 points, 5.2 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 0.9 blocks and 0.8 steals across 24.2 minutes while appearing in 81 regular-season games. Reid will likely be a key part of the rotation next season as the Timberwolves aim for another strong playoff push in a stacked Western Conference.

Naz Reid Latest News
Impresses in award-winning season
![Team logo](https://heavy.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/minnesota-timberwolves-logo.png?w=150)
Misses game-winning shot
![Team logo](https://heavy.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/minnesota-timberwolves-logo.png?w=150)
Reid logged 23 points (8-13 FG, 7-9 3Pt), two rebounds, one block and two steals over 32 minutes during Friday's 109-108 loss to Dallas in Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals. Reid had a chance to win it for the Timberwolves with the final shot of the fourth quarter, but his three-pointer bounced off the inside of the rim. The big man delivered an impressive performance and was Minnesota's offensive catalyst in a game during which the team's two biggest stars, Anthony Edwards and Karl-Anthony Towns, delivered subpar scoring performances. Reid has scored in double digits in five of his last six postseason appearances.
Plays key role late in victory
![Team logo](https://heavy.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/minnesota-timberwolves-logo.png?w=150)
Reid closed with 11 points (4-7 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, one assist and two blocks in 22 minutes during Sunday's 98-90 win over the Nuggets in Game 7 of the Western Conference Semifinals. Reid played additional minutes down the stretch due to Karl-Anthony Towns' foul trouble. As usual, Reid delivered on the offensive end and tallied a few key blocks. He should play a pivotal role off the bench for Minnesota against the high-flying Mavericks in the Western Conference Finals.
Struggles in Game 5 loss
![Team logo](https://heavy.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/minnesota-timberwolves-logo.png?w=150)
Reid contributed seven points (3-8 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT), three rebounds and one block in 20 minutes during Tuesday's 112-97 loss to the Nuggets in Game 5 of the Western Conference Semifinals. Reid was a non-factor in the loss, continuing his recent struggles. Coming off a career-best season, Reid has been unable to produce at a consistent level during the postseason. He has scored fewer than 15 points in eight of the Timberwolves' nine playoff games. Now facing a must-win matchup, Reid will look to turn things around in front of his home fans.
Big fourth quarter in Game 1
![Team logo](https://heavy.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/minnesota-timberwolves-logo.png?w=150)
Reid ended Saturday's 106-99 win over Denver in Game 1 of the Western Conference Semifinals with 16 points (7-11 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 0-1 FT), four rebounds, three assists and one steal in 23 minutes. Reid struggled over the first three quarters of Saturday's contest but showed up in a big way in the fourth frame, scoring 14 of his 16 points and giving the Timberwolves a boost off the bench in a winning effort. The Sixth Man of the Year ended as one of four Minnesota players with 10 or more points in the road victory, notching his third game of the postseason in double figures in scoring.
Back to bench
![Team logo](https://heavy.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/minnesota-timberwolves-logo.png?w=150)
Reid isn't starting Friday's game against the Hawks. Reid will retreat to a bench role due to the return of Karl-Anthony Towns to the starting lineup. Reid should continue to play a key role within the Minnesota rotation, especially while Towns gets back into game shape.
Ejected against Wizards
![Team logo](https://heavy.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/minnesota-timberwolves-logo.png?w=150)
Reid was ejected from Tuesday's game against the Wizards with 3:36 remaining in the first quarter. He finished with three points, two rebounds, one steal and one block in eight minutes. The officials determined that Reid made "unnecessary and excessive" contact to the head of Johnny Davis, according to Jon Krawczynski of The Athletic. With Reid hitting the locker room early, Kyle Anderson is likely to pick up a lot of minutes.
Posts massive 31/11 double-double
![Team logo](https://heavy.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/minnesota-timberwolves-logo.png?w=150)
Reid chipped in 31 points (12-16 FG, 6-8 3Pt, 1-3 FT), 11 rebounds, one assist, one block and two steals in 35 minutes during Sunday's 127-117 victory over the Lakers. Reid has effectively softened the blow of Karl-Anthony Towns' (knee) extended absence. If Towns rejoins the team for the playoffs as expected, it will be interesting to see if coach Chris Finch goes with a trio of Towns, Reid and Rudy Gobert alongside Mike Conley and Anthony Edwards. Reid has certainly displayed his ability to stretch the floor, averaging 5.1 three-point attempts per game with a conversion rate of 41.8 percent.
Pops for 23 points in blowout
![Team logo](https://heavy.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/minnesota-timberwolves-logo.png?w=150)
Reid finished Wednesday's 133-85 victory over the Raptors with 23 points (8-15 FG, 6-10 3Pt, 1-2 FT), seven rebounds, one assist, two blocks and one steal in 26 minutes. Reid's contributions have been significant for the Timberwolves amid Karl-Anthony Towns' (knee) absence. Although the team should have Towns back for the playoffs, Reid's interior presence will be crucial as they attempt to keep ahead of Denver and Oklahoma City for the top seed in the West. The LSU product has averaged 18.6 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.1 steals and 1.1 blocked shots over nine consecutive starts.
