With that possibility in mind, offensive coordinator Luke Getsy relayed that the rookie sixth-rounder out of New Hampshire is "off to a great start," while head coach Antonio Pierce noted of Laube on Friday, "That dude is special. I like him...and he's gritty. he's a gritty RB. One thing - he surprises you with his speed." That said, Tafur acknowledges that at this stage Laube slots in behind fellow backs Zamir White, Alexander Mattison and Ameer Abdullah. However, if Laube continue to impress this summer, the 5-foot-10, 208-pounder may be able to carve out a third-down role and possibly contribute as a kick returner in 2024.
