1408 Writer to Work on New Pet Sematary Screenplay

Matthew Greenberg, the screenwriter who wrote the adaptation of Stephen King’s 1408, will write the new adaptation of King’s Pet Sematary, Hollywood Reporter writes. The story is simple: a family moves to Maine (unsurprisingly, because every King story takes place in Maine), the boy dies in an accident, the father accidentally buries him in a pet cemetery on an ancient burial ground. The kid comes back in demon form. The film was already adapted into a film in 1989, but these days we’ll take a remake over a sequel almost every time.
