Anyone who went to college in the 90’s is gonna be bummed. After 20 years of nonstop touring every summer, the Dave Matthews Band announced on their website that they’re going to take a break for the summer of 2011 but return for 2012.
The band writes, “We feel lucky that our tours are a part of so many people’s lives, and wanted to give everyone as much notice as possible. We’re excited to make this summer one of our best tours yet, and look forward to returning to the road in 2012.”
So basically, don’t miss out this year. The band will begin their 2010 tour on May 28th in Hartford, CT and finish up on Sept 15th in St. Paul, MN. They will have their typical lineup of special guest musicians to join them on stage from bands like Gov’t Mule to Black Joe Lewis & the Honeybears.
