After much speculation that Britney Spears and L.A Reid would return to X-Factor as judges, they will not. Stepping in for Spears and Reid are international superstar Paulina Rubio and Grammy winner and founding member of Destiny’s Child, Kelly Rowland.

There were some rumors that claimed Britney Spears would return, which Demi Lovato entertained on Twitter. However, the announcement came about on Monday night that Lovato would have two new judges. Despite all of the confusion, Lovato is excited to be sitting next to Cowell for another season, which she has made quite obvious on her Twitter page.
Simon seems to be excited as well, making this statement after the announcement: “It’s take almost a decade but I am delighted to be on a panel with three girls (I think!).”
Rowland says she’s “excited to reunite with the X-Factor family” and Rubio warns Cowell to “…be careful what you wish for…”
The new season begins in Fall 2013.
