From producer Adi Shankar, who is best known as the producer of Dredd and The Grey, comes the tale of iconic Spider-Man villain Eddie Brock, who is infected with the Venom symbiote. However, this film is chiefly concerned with showing the venomous man himself, Eddie Brock, who in the style of a French Cinéma vérité snuff film, becomes increasingly more and more insane as the film goes on, looking for the true truth in journalism.

Yes, it’s about as crazy as it sounds, and Ryan Kwanten of True Blood does a fantastic job of portraying the menacing Eddie Brock. Maybe it’s just the black-and-white style and the blond-haired lead, but the character reminds us a lot of Guy Pearce’s Leonard Shelby in Christopher Nolan’s Memento, and that’s definitely a good thing here.

Take a look at this inspired comic book short, which will keep you on the edge of its seat with its wacky character transplanted into a hyper-realistic world.
