Five Abandoned Kittens Named After One Direction Because of Scruffy Hair

The One Direction boys have some admirers at the Blue Cross charity hospital in Merton, South London, England. Apparently, five kittens were dumped in the hospital’s waiting room and are waiting for new owners to come adopt them. The kittens have each been named after one of the One Direction boys, so fans actually have the opportunity to adopt one of their favorite band-mates … well, sort of. Daily Mail is trying to help find homes for the kittens as they write:

Meet Liam, Harry, Zayn, Louis and Niall – the five abandoned kittens dubbed One Direction because of their ‘good looks and scruffy hair’. And like their boy-band namesakes, animal hospital staff hope the fivesome will soon have an army of adoring fans queuing up to meet them.

A nurse from the hospital explains the hospital staff’s thought process behind naming the kittens after the boys:

We’re big fans of the group and it’s been fun looking after them but they now need a loving home.
