One Direction Vs. Anchorman on Saturday Night Live

With Paul Rudd hosting Saturday Night Live tonight, there were hopes that the cast of Anchorman 2 would make an appearance in one of the skits. In addition to all the Anchorman hype, was the One Direction craziness. The most famous boy band in the world right now is the musical guest, so it’s safe to say that tonight’s episode of SNL was a highly anticipated one.

As Paul Rudd begins his opening skit, One Direction lines up behind him to upstage him. With that, Paul Rudd calls upon his Anchorman buddies. Even Will Ferrell and Steve Carell were there. Upon their entrance, a challenge is made: One Direction Vs. Anchorman. Will Ferrell gets a little feisty, telling the 1D boys, “Beat it, Menudo.” But soon, both sides decide that a collaboration would be better, so One Direction and the Anchorman cast team up to sing “Afternoon Delight.” And so, 9 Direction was born.

For the last act of the show, they gentlemen of Anchorman get together for another skit. Check it out in the video below.
