1. Say “Hello” to Miss Golden Globe 2014

The title of Miss or Mr. Golden Globe is traditionally awarded each year by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. Generally, the honor is bestowed upon a celebrity offspring. Last year, Clint Eastwood’s daughter Francesca and Michael J. Fox’s son Sam were each awarded the title. Basically, their jobs consist of dressing in designer duds and onstage at the Golden Globe Awards assisting in handing out awards.

Sosie confessed to E! News that she’s most excited to see Claire Danes and to watch Amy Poehler with Tina Fey in action as hosts at the awards show.

2. Sosie’s Not Used to Wearing Makeup and Heels

Apparently, Sosie Bacon is not your typical Hollywood girl. When she got awarded the title of Miss Golden Globe 2014, of course, as parents, Kevin Bacon and wife Kyra had a little advice and encouragement to offer their daughter. Sosie tells E! News:

They just want me to practice walking in my heels, not trip. And yeah, have fun … That’s my biggest fear…I’m so bad at walking in heels. Clumsy is an understatement. I trip all the time.

Sosie Bacon isn’t a big high-heeled shoe girl and she’s not used to putting on a lot of makeup.

3. Like Her Parents, Sosie Bacon Is an Actor

Sosie Bacon is working her way to try to become a successful actress. She tells E! News:

I’m acting now, I’ve been auditioning for the past six or seven months, so I’m definitely doing this as a career. Doing short films and indie features and readings.

Apparently, Sosie’s already been a part of several films. Wikipedia covers her career thus far stating:

Bacon’s first role was playing the 10-year-old Emily in the movie Loverboy, which was directed by her father. James Duff, producer of The Closer, was compelled by Bacon’s performance in Loverboy to suggest that she play the role of Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson’s niece Charlie in the fifth season of the show.

On an interesting note, Kyra and Kevin were reportedly not initially happy about their daughter becoming an actress. Though the couple wasn’t thrilled about Sosie being in the entertainment business, they did name her after a Hollywood head. Kyra happened to give birth shortly after filming the movie Miss Rose White and decided to name Sosie after the movie’s art director.

4. Sosie Sings In Her Dad’s Band

In case you’re not familiar with The Bacon Brothers, it’s a small band starring Kevin and Michael Bacon. Though Sosie isn’t a regular with The Bacon Brothers, she has made some guest appearances, along with her brother Travis. Sosie’s brother Travis actually plays in his own punk rock band called “Idiot Box”. Sosie, too, has her own musical aspirations. After attending Brown University, where she studied with musical theatre company CAP21. In 2012, Sosie joined the cast of Off-Broadway musical “Fiction in Photographs”.

5. Currently Sosie’s Working on a Thriller

Sosie isn’t just sitting pretty. She presently is filming a thriller called Off Season and she is playing one of the main characters “Cassie”.
