WWE WrestleMania XXX: Top 10 Facts You Need to Know

Wrestling fans around the world congregate in one state for one of the biggest spectacles the world pays attention to – WrestleMania. The year’s biggest, most popular and ready-made superstars of the WWE hit the squared circle to entertain the millions (AND MILLIONS!) of wrestling heads on the biggest stage of them all.

On April 6, 2014, the 30th annual iteration of WWE’s “Granddaddy of ‘Em All” will showcase the biggest matches and moments of the year. We’re going to make sure you’re fully aware of what’s going down at the big show and everything that’s involved with ‘Mania 30 weekend.

Here’s all the important info you need to know about WWE WrestleMania XXX.

1. This WrestleMania is Getting Two First Time Honors

WWE WrestleMania XXX has the distinct honor of being the first WrestleMania to ever be held in the state of Louisiana. ‘Mania XXX will also be the first WWE pay-per-view to ever be broadcasted live through the WWE Network streaming service.

2. A Legendary Wrestler Will Be Hosting It

WWE legend Hulk Hogan will be handling the hosting duties this year for the 30th annual WrestleMania. The only other instance in which a former WWE superstar hosted WrestleMania was back in 2011 (Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson handled the hosting duties for WrestleMania 27).

3. Three Theme Songs Will Accompany This Installment of WrestleMania

WWE has chosen three separate theme songs to commemorate the momentous occasion of WrestleMania’s 30th annual showcase. Kid Rock’s “Celebrate” (the show’s official theme) and Eminem’s “Legacy” (the plot buildup song for John Cena vs. Bray Wyatt) are those two musical tunes. Check out Kid Rock’s song in the video above and Eminem’s latest tune in the video below.

It also turns out that a 3rd theme song will become an official part of ‘Mania XXX. That newly announced tune is “In Time” by Mark Collie (the storyline buildup theme for The Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar). You can listen to that song in the posted video seen below.

4. It’s Taking Place in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome

WrestleMania XXX will be held in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, which was originally known as the Louisiana Superdome from 1975-2011 and iscommonly referred to as The Superdome. In it’s current state, the Mercedes-Benz Superdome can contain this total number of fans for the two sports listed below:

– American Football: 73,208 (can be expanded to 76,468)
– Basketball: 55,675

5. The Winner of Daniel Bryan vs. Triple H Will Enter The WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match That Features Randy Orton and Batista

Triple H and Daniel Bryan have been at odds since SummerSlam 2013, after HHH screwed Bryan out of holding the WWE Championship after Bryan defeated John Cena. Randy Orton cashed in his Money in the Bank title shot briefcase to claim the WWE Championship after HHH landed a Pedigree on Bryan. Ever since then, Bryan has butted heads with HHH and The Authority. Daniel Bryan’s “YES!” movement has propelled him to amazing heights of crowd appreciation and he’s been calling for HHH to finally face him in a match.

HHH agreed to take on Daniel Bryan, plus he added this surprising stipulation – the winner of the match will become the third man in the WWE World Heavyweight Championship bout that already includes Randy Orton and Batista. So it looks like it will either be Triple H vs. Randy Orton vs. Batista or Daniel Bryan vs. Randy Orton vs. Batista in the WrestleMania 30 main event.

6. This Will Be The Undertaker’s 22nd Appearance and Match at ‘Mania

The Undertaker is renowned for his amazing undefeated streak at WrestleMania. At WrestleMania XXX, ‘Taker will face his biggest challenge yet in the form of former UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar. This match will mark The Undertaker’s 22nd appearance and feature match at WrestleMania.

7. John Cena Will Go One-on-One With Bray Wyatt

John Cena has seemingly been targeted by the leader of The Wyatt Family, the sick and demented Bray Wyatt. Bray Wyatt and his two followers have attacked Cena on two different WWE PPV’s – Royal Rumble 2014 and Elimination Chamber 2014. Bray Wyatt berated both Cena and Hogan on a previous edition of RAW, which further angered Cena. Their feud has now escalated to the point where Cena opted to not participate in the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal because he’d rather face Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania XXX.

8. A 30-Man Battle Royal Will Be Contested in Memory of Andre The Giant

Hulk Hogan shocked the crowd during a past episode of WW RAW when he announced a special match that would be taking place for the first time at ‘Mania XXX – the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.
