Unfortunately, for Calvin Harris fans, Harris will no longer be performing at the 2014 MTV EMAs. The Scottish DJ has had to pull out of his gig because of an illness that has not been identified to fans. A rep for Harris released the following statement:
It’s with deep regret that Calvin Harris will not be able to perform at the 2014 MTV EMA this weekend due to illness. He sends his sincere apologies to all his fans.
MTV reports that:
The Scottish DJ was due to perform at the SSE Hydro in Glasgow tomorrow (November 9) but unfortunately had to cancel his slot. Harris – who is nominated for Best Electronic at the ceremony – was in the UK, but had to head back home.
Fortunately, the EMAs lineup is filled with a ton of other big celebrities to make up for the loss of Harris. Performers include U2, Ariana Grande, Enrique Iglesias, Alicia Keys, Kiesza, Royal Blood, Charlie XCX, Ed Sheeran and Nicki Minaj. Plus, Ozzy Osbourne is going to perform as he’s the recipient of this year’s Global Icon Award.
