On tonight’s results show for The Voice, the top 6 contestants were narrowed down to the top 5 semi-finalists and the contestant sent home was … Kimberly Nichole.
It was down to India Carney, Kimberly Nichole, Sawyer Fredericks, Koryn Hawthorne, Joshua Davis, and Meghan Davis, but one of them had to say goodbye. To kick off the show, season 5 contestant Jacquie Lee gave a beautiful performance, which was one of several performances throughout the show. The first contestant announced as safe was Sawyer Fredericks from Team Pharrell Williams. Before the second safe contestant was announced, host Carson Daly asked Koryn Hawthorne what the most important thing was that her coach Pharrell Williams had taught her was and she said he taught her to be herself. Then, Blake Shelton’s remaining contestant Meghan Linsey was revealed to be have made it into the top 5. The third person announced as safe was Koryn Hawthorne, which meant that Team Pharrell Williams stayed intact.
Before getting into the remaining results, host Carson Daly had a little chat with the cast of Entourage, who were sitting in the audience. That was definitely a cool moment as they revealed that coach Pharrell Williams makes a cameo in the movie. Then, former show winner Craig Wayne Boyd took the stage to perform for the audience.
Finally, the last safe contestant was announced as Joshua Davis from Team Adam Levine, leaving Christina Aguilera’s two contestants in the bottom two. This meant that India Carney and Kimberly Nichole each had to sing for their spot in the top 5. Kimberly Nichole ended up being sent home in what was a very close vote.
