1. Baseball Star Jim Edmonds Is Her Husband
Meghan is Jim Edmonds’ third wife, marrying in St. Louis on October 24, 2014, just under a year of divorcing second wife Allison Jayne Raski. Jim Edmonds is a baseball star who hit over 30 home runs in five seasons of playing, while maintaining a .285 career batting average. Currently, Jim is a FOX sportscaster who also owns a local restaurant in the St. Louis area called Winfield’s Gathering Place.
2. She’s A Step-Mother To a Teenager
Hayley Edmonds is Meghan’s 17-year-old step-daughter and we see her on the show. Meghan is actually step-mother to four children. Jim Edmonds had two daughters with his first wife and he had a son (Landon James) and a daughter (Sutton Jayne) with his second wife. Because Meghan is a lot younger than her 44-year-old husband Jim, she says she has an interesting relationship with her teen step-daughter. Meghan told Bravo TV:
I also have a very unique dynamic with my family situation. My husband is back and forth from our house in St. Louis to our house in Orange County, because he works in St Louis and I’m living in Orange County with his 17-year-old daughter—who I’m stepmom to and I’m closer in age to her than my own husband. And so we have this interesting dynamic.
3. Cast-Mate Heather Dubrow Gave Her Advice Before Filming Season 10 of RHOC

Heather Dubrow is a fellow cast member on the Real Housewives of Orange County and she had some advice for Meghan after she joined the show. Heather told her:
Meghan you are you and I love you for who you are, so continue to be yourself. Stand your ground. Say what you mean and mean what you say, and you’ll do great.
Meghan told Bravo that she does just that. Meghan considers herself to be very opinionated and not afraid to speak her mind, so that’s something that viewers will definitely see.
4. Her Husband’s Ex-Wife Is Dying of Cancer
Sadly, Meghan has revealed to Perez Hilton that the mother of step-daughter Hailey (Lee Ann Horton) is currently dying of cancer. Meghan opened up about the fact that she thought she would find friendship with RHOC Vicki Gunvalson because Vicki’s boyfriend Brooks Ayers was diagnosed with stomach cancer. Unfortunately, this was not always the case this season. Meghan admitted:
With my personal family situation, my step-daughter’s mom is dying of cancer currently, so I have an invested interest in cancer and cancer treatments, and so, of course, I was interested in what [Brooks Ayers]’s treatment plans were and what he was doing and I really thought I would find an ally.
Lee Ann Horton was Jim Edmonds’ first wife, with whom he has two daughters – Hayley and Lauren.
5. She Butts Heads With Shannon And Vicki On Real Housewives Of Orange County
This season, Meghan butts heads a bit with RHOC cast members Vicki Gunvalson and Shannon Beador. She said that initially Vicki was very welcoming, but then they had a few bumps in the road. Meghan dished to Perez Hilton:
Shannon was pretty cold to me. You know, stand-offish … Shannon and Vicki constantly remind me of how young I am, so yes, I think age clearly has something to do with it.
As for the cast members Meghan got along with, she said that Tamra and Heather were wonderful, explaining that:
I love Tamra … She and I got close very quickly, and I’ve had some issues I’ve been able to confide in her. I’m a step mom, and you know, she has kids who…have a step mom too. So we come at the situation from different angles and it’s nice to be able to kind of bounce these ideas off one another.
Meghan also stated:
You’re going to see the evolution of friendship all throughout the season. “I’d say I’m the most consistent in my relationships with Heather and Tamra.
