Andy Grammer and Allison Holker are paired together on Dancing With the Stars. The two have received mixed reviews from the judges over the course of the season, but they are on the up and up. Read on for the details on the dancing duo below.
1. Grammer’s Wife Is In the Entertainment Industry
Andy Grammer’s wife Aijia Grammer is also in the entertainment industry and is a talented singer. She’s currently providing back up vocals for Selena Gomez. Aijia has appeared on the Today Show as well as The Ellen Show, singing with Gomez.
2. Holker’s Husband Is Also a Dancer
Not only is Grammer’s spouse in the entertainment industry, but Holker’s husband is also in the industry. He is a talented dancer named Stephen “tWitch” Boss and you may recognize him from So You Think You Can Dance, where he acts as a choreographer. Previously, Holker appeared on SYTYCD as a contestant. On April 30, 2013, Holker and her husband performed a routine together on Dancing With the Stars. Boss appeared as a stripper in the movie Magic Mike XXL.
On December 10, 2013, Holker and Boss were married at Villa San-Juliette Winery in Paso Robles, California. The winery is owned by So You Think You Can Dance producer and judge, Nigel Lythgoe.
3. Grammer Was Supposed to Be Paired With Peta Murgatroyd This Season
Many may have been wondering why Peta Murgatroyd was not one of the DWTS professional dancers this season. She was supposed to be and she was actually paired with Andy Grammer until an ankle injury forced her to withdraw from the show. His new partner was Allison Holker.
Murgatroyd is currently dating former DWTS bad boy Maksim Chmerkovskiy.
4. Though Holker Is Pregnant, She And Grammer Are Carrying On the Dance Competition Together
On an episode of Dancing With the Stars, Holker, brought her husband and daughter (Weslie Renae Fowler) on the live show to announce that she was 4 months pregnant. Though competing on this show is labor-intensive and exhausting, she and Grammer are determined to stick together. Though they may need to play it safe with some moves, Holker does not want her pregnancy to hinder Grammer’s journey on DWTS.
This is Holker’s second child, while it is her husband’s first.
5. Grammer Recently Sang the National Anthem for the World Series
The World Series between the Kansas City Royals and the New York Mets has kicked off and Grammer was the first artist to sing the National Anthem at Game 1. Allison Holker attended the big event with Grammer to witness his performance first-hand.
