1. Jesus Offered Rick and His People an Inside Look at his People’s Settlement

Alexandria’s front gate opens up while Sasha and Abraham have a chat. Abraham’s in the middle of one of his war stories as the both of them are detailing the inner perimeter. They split up after a long conversation. Abraham seems to have developed a love for Sasha, which explains why he’s flashing back to his previous moment with her while he’s with Rosita. He’s sharing a tender moment with Rosita, who passes him a physical token of her appreciation. While Rosita’s in the shower, he’s peering at his new prized possession and still thinking about Sasha.

Glenn and Maggie can be seen outside talking amongst themselves. All of a sudden, a commotion goes down in Rick’s house. Jesus happened to sneak in, which put everyone on notice. When day finally broke, Jesus had a roundtable discussion with Rick and his crew. Jesus makes it clear that Rick and Daryl are good people and they got off to a bad start from beforehand. He has a community to tend to as well. He offers to show them his settlement and hopefully build a better relationship with the group in front of him.

2. Rick and His Group Spot a Turned Over Vehicle; Jesus Recognizes That the Vehicle Belongs to his People

Darryl’s working on a vehicle that will take them to Jesus’ community. Nurse Jackie provides him with some goods before he takes his leave. Rick speaks with Carl about their upcoming trek and also lets him know that him and Michonne’s previous moment “just happened.” He leaves Carl behind with Baby Judith (Carl actually makes the decision to stay). Abraham, Darryl and the rest of Rick’s traveling gang then make the trip to wherever Jesus is taking them. While on the road, Abraham opens up a conversation with Glenn. Abraham opens up to Glenn about some much deeper topics regarding making babies in a post-apocalyptic world. Rick and Michonne begin to show each other some affection when suddenly they spot a crashed car on the side of the road.

Jesus seems to know the people that perished in this recent roadside accident. Rick and his people tie him up and go inside of a barren building to locate Jesus’ people. Maggie keeps a close eye on Jesus while everyone heads off to find the remaining survivors from the accident they just came across.

3. Rick and his Group Ended up Saving Four of Jesus’ Community Members

Inside the abandoned building, Rick and his people come upon two survivors in a room. They watch each other’s backs as zombies jump out at them. Darryl and Glenn locate another survivor, plus Abraham happens to save another. Back inside their ride, Maggie comes to know one of the survivors. He happens to be a doctor and offers to give Maggie some pills to help her with her pregnancy. Jesus checks in on one of his people, who pours his heart out about seeing his life flash before his eyes. Abraham almost killed him once before since he ran into him in the abandoned building, but he realized he was one of Jesus’ friends afterwards.

The group’s ride eventually gets stuck in the mud. Rick and his people exit the ride and come to find out that this is the place Jesus was telling them about beforehand. The entire group exits their now trapped automobile and heads toward Jesus’ home fort.

4. Maggie Tries to Broker a Deal Between Rick’s Alexandria and Gregory’s Hilltop Colony

While Jesus and the group walk towards the front gate, they spot two of Jesus’ men keeping watch. After a tense back and forth standoff, Jesus calms the situation down and makes Rick’s group bring their weapons down. The gate opens to reveal a huge mansion standing in the middle of a plantation settlement. As everyone looks around, they spot the people there tending to their livestock and trailer homes. Jesus shows them the Barrington House, which has mostly been converted into a place to live for some of the survivors. Inside the home, everyone meets Gregory for the first time. Gregory happens to run the place and he seems nice enough, but Rick and his people are still on edge. Rick tells Maggie to chat with him as they go wash themselves up and prepare for dinner.

Outside, Gregory’s community can be seen working to feed and clean each other. Abraham and Glenn share a few words with each other, which is then followed by a scene where Maggie opens up a conversation with Gregory. Gregory shows off his main office to Maggie and tells her about how his mansion used to be a historical site. Maggie questions him about his people, who came to survive in the Hilltop Colony. Maggie and Gregory open up a dialogue about trading weapons for food. Gregory knows they don’t have much, so he lets her know that her and her people should work for them to get what they need. Maggie makes it clear that they should help each other, but Gregory seemingly denies her proposed aid.

Back at the Hilltop Colony, Rick and Jesus try to work out some type of deal that will benefit each other’s communities. Jesus promises them that he’ll speak with Gregory and try to broker a deal between them all. Suddenly, a man arrives inside the mansion and notifies Gregory that one of their people were captured. Gregory’s people bear bad news about a trip gone bad. Out of nowhere, one of the returning men stabs Gregory. Abraham and Rick attempt to fight off the crazed group. While Abraham is being choked out, he begins hearing Sasha’s voice as his face turns redder and redder.

An all out brawl ensues. Rick kills the man who stabbed Gregory, which leads to another standoff between everyone keeping watch. Darryl breaks the arm of one of the men trying to choke out Abraham and Michonne keeps watch over the woman who arrived with the man who tried to kill Gregory. Jesus calms everyone down while a doctor tends to Gregory’s wounds.

6. Rick and his People Head Out to Take Down a Group Called The Saviors

Maggie keeps an eye on the body of the man Rick killed, who’s being overseen by a woman. It turns out that Negan (the leader of a group called The Saviors) was at the Hilltop Colony once before. Him and his men made a deal with Gregory’s people – Negan took their items, which allowed the Hilltop Colony to survive without being attacked by The Saviors. Negan actually killed one of Hilltop’s younger survivors. Darryl tells Jesus that they actually took out Negan and a group of his men once before. Rick and his people then volunteer to wipe out the rest of Negan’s group in exchange for any supplies the Hilltop Colony can offer.

Jesus notifies Rick that Gregory is awake and ready to talk. He calls upon Maggie to speak about Rick’s offer. Maggie tells Gregory that they can get Gregory’s men back. Gregory doesn’t seem too keen on bringing back this survivor named Craig, but Maggie keeps trying to convince him that her deal is a great arrangement. Gregory finally agrees to Maggie’s demands. Maggie wants half of what the Hilltop Colony has right now before her and her group head out to deal with Negan’s Saviors.

Outside, Rick speaks to the man who was the delivery man for Negan’s compound. The man agrees to help them out and help complete such a difficult task. Rick and his people gather up the food they were promised. They pack up and prepare to take down the rest of Negan’s people. Rick speaks with Michonne about their next mission. Meanwhile, Glenn and Maggie view a sonogram of their blooming baby. Rick and his group head off in their ride. Michonne, Darryl and Abraham take a gander at Glenn and Maggie’s future child as they head towards their next task.
