Takeshi Kitano is best known for reviving playing the legendary Zatoichi The Blind Swordsman character in 2003's The Blind Swordsman: Zatoichi. He's also an acclaimed director, winning the Best Director award at the 2013 Asian Film Awards for Beyond Outrage.
