‘The Voice’ Season 12 Contestants – Blind Auditions 4

Kawan DeBose

He grew up singing in the church choir and then learned to play piano. His grandmother ended up enrolling him in performing arts school and he realized that he wanted to be a professional musician. He ended up moving to Los Angeles to chase his dreams in 2015. He befriended his pastor in California, and his pastor says he hopes to one day be DeBose's manager. For his blind audition, DeBose sang the song "Let's Get It On" and Adam Levine was the first coach to turn his chair around, followed by Blake Shelton and then Gwen Stefani. When talking to DeBose, Levine compared his vocal stylings to Prince and ultimately, DeBose chose Levine. (Photo by: Tyler Golden/NBC)
