When Brown was voted through during the live playoffs, he told The Daily Press: I couldn’t be more grateful for America to vote me through. It’s crazy and feels just surreal in the moment. You don’t know how they are going to respond to the performance and the amount of responses and support I got was unbelievable. Brown also said that she had never performed on live TV before, only on pre-taped shows before the play-offs began. Brown explained that: I never performed on live television before, so being the first time, the nerves were very high. But you know, once I hit that stage it felt like home, and with lots of prayer, I was able to just be myself and gave it all I got.
