‘Dancing With the Stars’ 2017 Contestants – Season 24 Semi-Finals

"Dancing With the Stars" 2017 Remaining Contestants

Tonight is semi-finals week for season 24 of Dancing With the Stars, which means that another contestant from the season will be eliminated by the end of tonight's live episode. Then, next week will air the two-part finale episodes. The official ABC synopsis for tonight's episode reads: The four remaining couples advance to the Semi-Finals, as the competition heats up and the show edges closer to the following week’s crowning of the coveted Mirrorball trophy ... Each couple will dance two dances – one being a Judges’ Challenge, in which Len Goodman, Bruno Tonioli, Carrie Ann Inaba and Julianne Hough have each been individually paired up with one couple, tasking them with a specific challenge for their dance, and the second being a style the couple has not danced to yet. In addition, two-time “Dancing with the Stars” Mirrorball champion and Emmy-nominated choreographer Cheryl Burke returns to the ballroom with a special performance from her 30-city tour, “Love on the Floor” ... As an added treat, breakout U.K. artist, singer and songwriter Calum Scott will perform his poignant version of Robyn’s “Dancing on My Own,” alongside a dance from pros Witney Carson and Artem Chigvintsev. “Dancing on My Own” has become a global sensation, quickly charting in over 34 countries on Spotify and hitting No. 1 on iTunes in 11 countries. Scott will also perform his new original song, “Rhythm Inside." Each couple will perform a rumba, quickstep, jazz, tango, jive, Viennese waltz or foxtrot. At the end of the night, based on scores and votes from last Monday, one couple will be eliminated. Judge Julianne Hough is pulling triple duty right now as a judge on DWTS, a host for Miss USA and a headliner on tour with brother Derek. Last night was the 2017 Miss USA Pageant, with Miss DC winning once again, so Hough may have a little more time to spare. With tonight being the semi-finals, the pressure is on and the contestants are more determined than ever to stay in the competition.
