Normani Kordei
Normani Kordei and Val Chmerkovskiy are at the top of their game and Kordei continues to impress the judges. With Kordei currently on a world tour with her music group Fifth Harmony, all the traveling could potentially take a toll on her performances as the competition continues to heat up. In an interview with Billboard, Kordei talked about her experience thus far on Dancing With the Stars, saying: It's crazy to see how many stages it takes because we have a week to prepare and rehearse. And sometimes I have rehearsals from like 3 to 4 hours maybe a day. It's easy to see the growth within even 4 hours of rehearsing, and there are so many stages that it goes through ... I'm just really pushing and challenging myself. I am quicker than I thought! According to her, one issue Kordei sometimes has is keeping up with the quickness of movements in certain routines. Another problem that also recently came up is an injury. Though Kordei is trying to fight through the pain, even receiving a perfect 40 out of 40 on last week's episode, there's always a chance that Kordei's back spasms could affect her dancing. Also, even though Kordei has been a top contender, she hasn't always had the votes of viewers. With surprise eliminations like Heather Morris, you never know what could happen.
