MTV Movie & TV Awards 2017 Performers
The 2017 MTV Movie & TV Awards airs tonight and there are some new categories in the mix this evening. Plus, the Fast & Furious franchise is going to receive the MTV Generation Award. Actors Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, and Tyrese will accept the award and this will be the first time that the award recipient is not a person. MTV explains the reasoning for their choice as this: From the extremely diverse cast to the perfect balance of action and romance, the "Fast and Furious" franchise has had a significant impact on pop culture and continues to entertain millions of fans across the world. This year's host is Adam Devine, who is so excited to be picked as the host, telling People that: I feel like I am the biggest movie and television star together as one. Will Smith might have something to say about that but they didn’t ask him [to host], they asked me. So who’s the bigger star? It’s him, but I’m doing the best with what I have. In addition to music performances and awards, there will be movie trailers and sneak peeks shows as well. The trailer to Wonder Woman will be shown and sneak peeks will include Spider-Man: Homecoming, It, and Transformers: The Last Knight. As for tonight's presenters, there is a long list of A-listers in the lineup. The presenters include:
