The college football season is only three weeks old, but there’s a good chance that Noah Brown’s catch will stand as one of the best plays of the year.
The Ohio State wide receiver caught three touchdown passes in the first half of the Buckeyes’ game at Oklahoma, with the third coming despite the best effort of OU defensive back Michiah Quick. Quick did his best to defend the pass, but his effort wasn’t enough to keep Brown from gathering in the pass from J.T. Barrett with one hand.
Trapping the ball on Quick’s back, Brown brought around his left hand while falling to the ground in order to secure the touchdown reception. An incredible catch by Brown, who finished the game with four touchdown catches and missed all of last season after suffering a broken leg in fall camp. Brown’s catch was similar those made by former Alabama receiver Tyrone Prothro and current Stanford receiver Francis Owusu.
