Microsoft Xbox E3 2014 One Press Conference: Top 10 Facts You Need to Know

Microsoft was the 1st company to hit the live stage during the beginnings of E3 2014. There’s a lot of information that was given to the live press members in attendance and those who viewed the livestream, so we’re going to compile it all in one simple format for you all. Here’s everything you need to know about what went down during the Xbox E3 2014 media briefing.


1. Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Was Shown Via Some New Gameplay, Plus the DLC Was Announced for Xbox One Exclusivity

The live press conference started of with an inside look at one of the playable levels in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. And as expected, Xbox 360 and Xbox One owners will get 1st dibs on Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare downloadable content.


2. Forza Motorsport 5 is Getting a NEW DLC Stage That’s Available for Download Now

One of the bigger announcements for the day revolved around Forza Motorsport 5’s newly added track – Nurburgring. Starting today, owners of the game will be able to download the track at no cost. Afterwards, Forza Horizon 2 and its release date was revealed – September 30, 2014.


3. A New Trailer for Evolve Was Debuted

2K Games’ Evolve was the next game to be shown. In the trailer, a brand new beast made its debut. Like Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare’s planned DLC, the Xbox One will receive the 1st flood of add-on content and the exclusive beta for Evolve.

4. Assassin’s Creed Unity Showcased the Co-Op Brotherhood Gameplay

Ubisoft hit the stage to give fans some more details on Assassin’s Creed Unity. Players will be able to join each other in a 4-player co-op experience that focuses on the “Brotherhood” label the series is known for. A new gameplay demo displayed the 4-player co-op action that’s possible through this next-gen take on Ubisoft’s long-running series. Fellow assassins can be spotted by spotting the purple emblem icon that floats over their heads.


5. A New Story Trailer was Shown for Dragon Age: Inquisition

Dragon Age: Inquisition was put on display in a new revealing trailer. The Xbox One will also be getting the 1st bits of downloadable content before any other console.

6. Sunset Overdrive Hit the Stage

Insomniac Games’ Sunset Overdrive was presented to everyone in attendance in an exciting CG trailer. This new trailer provided the plot backdrop for the game, as well as some moments of explosive hilarity. Once the initial trailer for the game came to an end, a long gameplay demo followed shortly thereafter. Chaos Mode, an 8-player co-op mode, will be available in the game. Sunset Overdrive will hit stores on October 28, 2014.


7. The Latest Bit of Dead Rising 3’s DLC Was Announced – AND IT’S AVAILABLE RIGHT NOW!

Dead Rising 3 will be celebrating Capcom’s 31st anniversary with a great homage to the company’s other brand of franchises – Super Ultra Dead Rising 3 Arcade Remix Hyper Edition EX Alpha.


8. A New Dance Central Was Announced

Dance Central: Spotlight was introduced as a digital downloadable game that will be landing on the Xbox One in September. Disney Fantasia: Music Evolved will be released on the Xbox 360 and Xbox One on October 21, 2014.


9. Fable Legends Multiplayer and Villain Gameplay Was Shown

The multiplayer demo for Fable Legends will be launching Fall 2014. Several new heroes who you’ll be able to journey alongside with were shown off during the live gameplay demonstration. Players now have the ability to become the game’s main villain. As the all-powerful villain, you’ll be able to place traps and other dastardly devices of evil in a stage that’s overrun with 4 co-op heroes.


10. A Wealth of Halo Related Information Was Revealed

Halo 5: Guardians was shown off in a new CG trailer. November 11, 2014 was announced as the official release date for Halo: The Master Chief Collection, which will feature Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, Halo 2 Anniversary, Halo 3 and Halo 4. Halo 2 will be getting the HD anniversary treatment that was done with the 1st game. Halo 2’s original multiplayer will be shipped with the disc, 6 iconic maps will be made available in the game and every Halo multiplayer map will be included for their respective entry in the series. Halo: Nightfall is the name of the live-action series that is still in production. It’s a prequel to the adventure that will occur in Halo 5: Guardians. The beta for Halo 5: Guardians will begin sometime around December. A gameplay trailer for the multiplayer was shown. The multiplayer for Halo 5: Guardians will move at a crisp and welcome 60 FPS.

Project Spark was seen in a new CG/gameplay trailer. Conker from Conker’s Bad Fur Day was announced ass being one of the playable elements that players can utilize in the game.

• A brand new IP for the Xbox One called Inside was shown – Inside.

Ori and the Blind Forest, a brand new Xbox One exclusive IP, was shown. This fresh title will be developed by Moon Studios.

• ID@Xbox will be publishing several new upcoming Xbox One titles- Team Colorblind, Cuphead, Drifter, Lifeless Planet, Slash Dash, FRU, Grave, Mighty Number 9, Threes, #IDARB, Hellraid, Woolf, Below and several other new indie games.

• A world-premier reveal trailer for Rise of the Tomb Raider was shown.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt showed off some new gameplay.

• T.J. Combo was announced for Killer Instinct 2. The developer for the game announced the comeback of another cult classic – Phantom Dust.

Tom Clancy’s The Division was given a new multiplayer gameplay demo.

• PlatinumGames showed off its next original game creation – Scalebound.

Crackdown will be making a comeback in its 1st next-gen release on the Xbox One.

Happy Wars was revealed to be coming to the Xbox One.
