Ubisoft E3 2014 Press Conference: Top 10 Facts You Need to Know

Now that Ubisoft has concluded its exciting E3 2014 press conference, it’s time we sifted through everything that was shown and told to everyone who had the pleasure of watching it. Here’s everything that you need to know about from the livestream presentation of E3 2014’s media briefing!


1. The 1st Five Minutes of Far Cry 4 Were Shown

Far Cry 4 was finally shown to the eager gamers in a CG trailer. This beautiful looking trailer showed the main character getting stuck inside a dicey situation with army forces. All the gunfire and bloodshed came to an end once the game’s eccentric villain (Pagan Min) made his appearance on-screen. The trailer was shown from a 1st-person viewpoint as the main protagonist came into contact with the hectic world (Himalayas) he just entered. Far Cry 4 will hit stores on November 18, 2014.


2. Just Dance 2015 Was Announced

The new annual installment in the Just Dance series was shown. Popular artists such as Pharrell Williams and Calvin Harris will make their musical track induction into the game. Just Dance 2015 will launch on the Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, PS3, Wii U and Wii in October 2014. A new online Community gameplay feature was also announced in the game.


3. A Just Dance Companion App Was Shown

Just Dance Now, a new smartphone app for the game, showed off just how worldwide players can do some online dancing. This app will allow players to access the game online and play without any noticeable lag on their chosen device. There’s no limit to how many people can play Just Dance 2015 now through it’s multiplayer feature and accompanying app.


4. A Huge Group of Dancers Broke Out into a Huge Multiplayer Moment Onstage


Players all over the world will now have the ability to join up anywhere and everywhere through the Just Dance Now app, as evidenced by the crowd dancing demo that took place in the video above.

5. Tom Clancy’s The Division Was Shown Off in a New CG Video

The origins of the disease that plagued New York City on Black Friday was explained in a new CG trailer for Tom Clancy’s The Division. Plenty of survivors sporting the wear and tear of NYC’s downfall could be seen as they fought to live through another battle.


6. The Crew Made an Appearance

Ubisoft’s open-world racing game The Crew was shown in some new gameplay footage. Cars of all shapes and sizes were seen speeding through a bunch of wonderful looking environments. Players will be able to drive to places like Las Vegas, New York and many more real-world locations. The online avatars of global players racing each other and alongside each other looked incredibly fun. Co-op races and huge crew battles are just some of the cool modes seen on display. The Crew will hit stores on November 11, 2014.

7. Assassin’s Creed Unity’s New CG and Game Trailers Debuted

Assassin’s Creed Unity will take place during the 19th century among the French Revolution revolution. Multiple assassin’s scaled buildings, French soldiers shot down citizens and epic music accompanied every action-packed moment. The new lead assassin comes equipped with a new suite of powerful new weaponry and skills. The gameplay trailer that was shown gave players a look into an angry mob and the assassin’s ability to take on main/side missions. As the main character traversed around roofs and buildings, new icons were displayed on the screen to notify the player of new events and mission changes. Assassin’s Creed Unity will land on the Xbox One, PS4 and PC on October 28, 2014.


8. An Xbox One Exclusive Fitness Game Was Revealed

A new Xbox One fitness game was revealed – Shape Up. Players can put themselves into the game and play several fun nmingames on a workout map. Piano Step, a musical minigame that makes the player step on incoming icons, replicated the experience of doing leg warm up’s. A cool push-up workout game showed players mimicking their onscreen avatars as they lifted up massive objects and froze when the game told them to do so.


8. Valiant Hearts: The Great War Was Shown

Valiant Hearts: The Great War, a new puzzle adventure game, was shown and announced as being developed with the Ubisoft UbiArt Framework engine. From 1914-1918, players will take control of several characters during their time fighting in World War I.


9. Rainbow Six: Siege Made Its Debut

A new Rainbow Six (Siege) was shown for the 1st time in an extremely cool trailer. This debuting piece of gameplay showed a team of players facing each other in a saviors vs. hostage takers firefight. One team looked to kill the home trespassers and save the hostages, while the opposing team looked to kill the other members and leave with the hostage.


10. Aisha Tyler Once Again Handled the Media Briefing Hosting Duties

Comedian Aisha Taylor was all over the stage providing the audience with all of Ubisoft’s games and a ton of funny ad-lib’s during game demos. She could be seen and heard getting overly excited by each and every amazing trailer that gave the crowd much to look forward to in 2014 and beyond. It’s safe to say that she’ll be hitting the livestream stage again for Ubisoft an next year’s E3.
