The grand finale of this year’s CapCom Cup is just hours away.
Day two of CapCom Cup 2016 will kick off tonight at 6:00 p.m. Pacific Time. That’s the beginning of the opening ceremony, with the actual tournament starting a half-hour later at 6:30 p.m. Pacific Time. The tournament will last three hours, and the closing ceremony is scheduled for 10:00 p.m. Pacific Time.
The entire event can be watched in the embedded Twitch player via CapCom Fighters. If you’d like to participate in the chat, head over to the Twitch page itself.
One of the final eight players is about to take home over $120,000, in addition to being declared Street Fighter V World Champion. The second place winner will receive over $60,000, and the third place winner will receive over $25,000. Each of these finalists gets a cash bonus based on money generated from downloadable content, though CapCom has yet to reveal how much money this prize will be exactly.
On the first day of CapCom Cup, which lasted the entirety of Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. Pacific Time, the top 32 players were narrowed down to eight finalists. There were some major shocks, with Infiltration, the player who gave the best performance this season, getting 25th place, and Tokido coming in 25th as well.
The top eight finalists who will compete today are:
- MOV
- NuckleDu
- Ricki Ortiz

- Kazunoko
Although day one took place at the Esports Arena in Santa Ana, day two moves over to the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California. Each match will again be best three out of five.
