(Xbox)

The latest lineup of Xbox’s Games with Gold is now available. These games are available for “free” provided you have a subscription to Xbox Live Gold. These games will remain available to you as long as you keep your subscription active.

Games with Gold:

Borderlands 2 and Heavy Weapon are available on the Xbox 360 and are part of Xbox One’s backwards compatibility program.

Layers of Fear: A horror game that gives strong “Playable Trailer” vibes. You play as a painter that returns to his studio to complete his masterpiece. Along the way, you encounter a plethora of different things such as a changing environment and horrifying jump scares.

Evolve: An asymmetrical multiplayer game with five players with player as the lone monster and the other four as hunters trying to bring the monster down. The game was financial success but lost a significant amount players shortly after its release causing the game to switch to a free-to-play model on PC. The GwG edition comes with all the DLC.

Borderlands 2: A loot-based shooter with RPG elements. This is the 2012 release and not the remastered version included in Borderlands: The Handsome Collection. Even without the DLC, the game will provide hours of fun either by yourself or with friends. The game features 4-player online and split-screen co-op.

Heavy Weapon: A game created by PopCap Games, the studio behind Peggle, Plants vs. Zombies and Bejeweled, Heavy Weapon is an Xbox Live Arcade game where the player controls a tank and takes it through a total of 19 levels. The game features both 4-player online and split-screen co-op.

Project Cars: Digital Edition will remain free until March 15 as part of the second half of February’s Games with Gold lineup.
