Those who pre-ordered The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild from Amazon may have to wait longer than expected for their copy to arrive.

Breath of the Wild has long been sold out on Amazon but recently went up for sale again Monday and sold out again that night. Some people have been reporting their copy of the game has been given a release date of April by Amazon.

Others are reporting that no delivery date is given for title, which officially releases in two days.

Problems like this haven’t been reported at other outlets such as Gamestop or Best Buy. The game is still available for pre-order from those two while you can’t secure a physical copy from Amazon.

Nintendo Today reported Amazon recently cancelled over 1,000 Breath of the Wild Master Edition pre-orders.

A user on Reddit posted an email he claims came from an Amazon representative.

I have immediately investigated your order, I found that we are out of the inventory.

This is a unique situation where the BB was only open for 20 minutes and you had placed order in that time.

This was a limited-edition product for which we had an allocation of 2,900 units. We reduced all initial orders(that were larger than 1) to a quantity limit of one and reached out the vendor for additional stock, however none is available. As a result, we have pulled the customers in order of order-placement and have to cancel the 1,235 oversell.

Please understand that as an online retailer we are dependent on manufacturers for its inventory.

Amazon also don’t know when the item will be back in stock.

I am giving you direct link of page where you can constantly keep checking if the item is back in stock.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild releases March 3 for the Nintendo Switch and Wii U. It was given a perfect score by Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu. It is the 24th perfect score it has given out since its debut in 1986.
