In Prey there are a variety of different ways to break into rooms, however, the quickest is if you use the corresponding keycard for that door. Some of these items are easily found, while others are scattered throughout the different rooms of Talos I. One of the rooms that’s blocked off to Morgan is the Security Room, which is located on the first floor of the main lobby. To unlock this room, head left and then go upstairs to the second floor. You will need to break into the I.T. room, so make sure your hacking is upgraded at least one level to unlock the door.
Once you’re inside, take care of the two Phantoms via the conveniently placed explosive canisters next to them. Try to conserve ammo in this fight by freezing them in place via the GLOO Gun and hitting the Phantoms over the head with a wrench. After they are dead, go to the office on the right and grab the Security Room Keycard on the table. Head back down to the Security Room and use the keycard to unlock the door. This area is quite nice because there is some shotgun ammo on the desk, a safe in the corner, and you can start an optional quest via the Interrogation Room.
