One of the shining beacons of Nintendo Switch’s games library is the motion controlled fighter, ARMS. Its bright visuals, hectic gameplay, deep character customization and incredibly fun multiplayer has garnered it plenty of love from those who’ve played it. Nintendo has not only decided to demonstrate the game’s finer qualities even more during E3 2017, they’ve also chosen to hold a tournament for ARMS as well. For the first time ever, viewers will get to tune in and watch rookie and expert players duke it out. Welcome to the E3 2017 ARMS Open Invitational.
So here’s how this whole tourney will go down: E3 2017 attendees will face off in order to fill up four competitor spots. Those four players will move into the tougher part of the whole shindig as they deal with pro players in the Finals. So in simpler terms, it’s pretty much going to be a 4v4 skirmish between beginners and masters. The pro players who’ll be on hand to compete includes Alex “Calipower” Valle, Kelsy “SuperGirlKels” Medeiros, Daniel “Tafokints” Lee and Marie-Laure “Kayane” Norindr. Whoever walks away as the winner will be rewarded with the beautiful 2017 ARMS Open Invitational Belt. The tournament’s commentating duties will be handled by Jordan Kent, D1 and VickiKitty.
